ADD Storytelling

Join Maddie and Tucker on a romp though sub-Saharan Africa with these tales of half-human, half-animal characters. The were-animals (think "werewolf") we talk about are snakes, lions, and hyenas. Three whole stories ended up being about snakes, and they quite excellent! We hope you enjoy them as much as Maddie did.

Join Maddie and Tucker in a feminist exploration of Persephone and Demeter, Greek goddesses of Earth, life, fertility, agriculture, death & rebirth. We explore an alternative, earlier version of the Persephone myth before summarizing the myth that we are familiar with today with Hades. There is evidence of a matrilineal, peaceful, and agricultural society in Crete before the Zeus Olympus-model of Greek myths came into play. Maddie got a lot of feminist joy from this episode, you can too!

Join Maddie, Tucker, and special guest Miranda in a dizzying adventure of things falling from the sky! Silky shreds? Rocks? Meat? We got you covered. You can also title this episode where Maddie and Miranda drive Tucker crazy as he tries to stay on script. It's tough being the man with direction. Miranda and Tucker have a sibling rivalry that we know you'll love. Onward to the Mysteries of the Unexplained!

Join Maddie and Tucker in a romp through Thailand and medieval China on the topics of delayed and healing poisons! Delayed poisoning happens at a specific time interval or when imbibing certain substances. In medieval & ancient China, physicians used poison to fight illness and other health issues. These poisons were classified by their level of du, or potency. We will also go into gu poisons, which cover things like intentional malice with poison and demons!

Join Maddie & Tucker in a new video medium for an exploration of the Slenderman. We begin with some myths that could feasibly be related to Slenderman, then go into the origins and later cultural effects of the extended Slenderverse.

Trigger warning: We mention true crime scenarios associated with Slenderman, one of which is a child victim of attempted homicide.

This is a video episode, a new feature of Anchor Podcasts and Spotify! Watch if you like, and excuse the brevity of editing.
