The Holidays are upon us and all of us know someone who is less fortunate than we are who will be “celebrating” the holidays as best they can.
This week Denise interviews a woman who spends her working hours reaching out to those people who are homeless. She is out on the streets all week learning about who they are, how they live, why they live the way they do, and offers resources and support to them. Val Wood (
[email protected]) does outreach for her company and has become familiar with many of the homeless people in North San Diego County. They are a microcosm of homelessness throughout America. Hear some of her stories and hear her give us a human perspective on this life in the streets.
Many of us have or have had loved ones who have been homeless. I’m hoping this show will give us a little insight and knowledge. Sometime this can be more scary than what we imagine, but sometimes our imaginations run wild. So, here are real stories from which to gain some insight.
