After the show last week on Vivitrol (Naltrexone) many were confused and thought they would be hearing about a drug called Naloxone, a safe, non narcotic drug that works in minutes to reverse opiate overdose, used for decades in the Emergency Rooms across America.

This week, Denise interviews Gretchen Bergman, a mom and activist (for sure a mom with a purpose) about her organization A New Path their training for lay people to use Naloxone.  They talk about a new law in California that facilitates access and life saving opportunities.  They clarify the difference between the two drugs (Naloxone and Naltrexone).

Gretchen also is a member of a National Organization, Moms United to End the War on Drugs, not just for moms. They are all about awareness and safety.
