On this week’s show Denise speaks with Jessica Yaffa, author of “Mine Until: My Journey Into and Out of the Arms of an Abuser”, public speaker, and advocate for Domestic Violence Awareness, about domestic violence and its relationship to substance abuse and misuse.  Jessica is also the Director of Community Education and Engagement at the Restoration Inn, a new residence at Practical Recovery, a self empowering (12 step alternative) addiction treatment system located in San Diego, CA.

Domestic violence has been in the news a lot lately due to recent incidents that occurred in the NFL, but are not unique to football or sports, in general.
