In a Forbes Magazine article out about the same time, called “How Sam Polk, Former Street Trader And Wealth Addict Broke Free Of His Golden Handcuffs they further discuss this concept of “wealth addiction”.

Denise speaks with Sam Polk to clear up some questions she has about this issue and also to get first hand definition of wealth addiction. Sam Polk is the Founder and Executive Director of Groceryships. He is a graduate of Columbia University and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation, which he earned during his eight years as a bond and derivative trader for Bank of America and King Street Capital Management. After leaving Wall Street in 2010, Sam spent the next rew years writing a book and doing volunteer work in Los Angeles through organizations like My Friend’s Place and Aviva, before found Groceryships. He is on the Board of Directors for Honor Kinds International and is passionate about helping children.
