Brooklyn-based soul funkstress and bassist Adi Oasis slips in a little French at the top of “Adonis,” from her debut album Lotus Glow, which pays homage to her French grandmother and her father’s native island of Martinique. The album is buoyed by collaborations with Jamila Wood, Aaron Taylor, and, on “Adonis,” Rihanna and Ariana Grande songwriter KIRBY.
