What we need is for students to love to learn. Radical idea... what if we rolled back everyone one entire grade level? Let's change the approach, even if no one else is seeing the same problems as us... and flip SAMR on it's head in the process. 

A new season means it's time to introduce our new(ish) focus... a broader conversation that is meant to help the education community remember our "why", learn to love it again, and make changes based on the idea of personal progress of each student in what we're calling student driven learning. We're filing Chapter 13 and starting at the highest level of SAMR - let's redefine it from the ground up.

We couldn't pass up the chance on a BONUS episode to officially wrap up Season 2. The fact that we got to do it face to face made it all the sweeter. 

The amount of learning we've done over the past few months is just plain cool, and we are glad you are on the journey with us. For this bonus episode, we are talking about what works in terms of helping teachers do their thing - content, stakeholders, conversations, and more. Chad was able to spend a day with classroom teachers having chats about what it really means to be 1:1 with student devices... and why a change in how most people think is necessary before ever turning on the device itself.

Scratch the tech - it's just education....

And that's a wrap on season two, folks! We can't think of a better way to express our thanks for your support and feedback on season two than by a quick recap of some of the highlights and best conversations that have taken place over the last three months, as well as share some exciting plans about what is coming next as we kick off season three soon.

Chad shares the obligatory SKR drop while reminding us about WD-40's end game, and Marie has decided she needs to edit her Twitter bio and will be henceforth known as the "q-tip" of the classroom. And, we may have just interrupted a significant industry by suggesting a major name shift.

We're back! Man, life happens and we could not have planned on a three week delay in posting, but here we are.

When teachers were hired back in the day, a day or two was set aside each school year to 'train' them on all the things they might need (how to make copies, how to request supplies, etc.).

Now, there's all the things that take up teacher time - student info and attendance systems, learning management systems, devices, smart TVs and projectors, data collection and analysis, differentiation technologies, etc. 

How are teachers supposed to get support for the things without giving them the time (scheduled) to do so?
