The Central East Regional Police Command has arrested 12 suspected land guards at Millennium City in the Gomoa East District. The suspects, who were armed with offensive weapons, are alleged to have harassed developers in the district.

Residents of Assin Fosu Railway Station have been thrown into a state of shock and sorrow following the sudden death of a 20-year-old girl, Aboagyewa who paid a visit to her boyfriend. The uncle of the deceased, Kwaku Osei explained to Adom News, that the deceased traveled from Brasiako in the Assin North District of the Central Region to lodge with the boyfriend, whose name was only given as Kwabena but was found dead the next morning.

A man, believed to be in his early twenties, has been washed away by heavy tidal waves while defecating in the sea at Anomabo in the Mfantseman Municipality of the Central Region. The deceased who is yet to be identified according to reports is a stranger who came to the community to witness their 2022 Festival.

Some affected residents, including families in Ashalaja, one of the communities in Weija-Gbawe municipality, which were flooded as a result of spillage of water from the Weija Dam say they now have to sleep in kiosks. According to them, they have to contend with this situation until the water recedes.

Scores of residents in the Ga South Municipality of the Greater Accra Region have been displaced with several others trapped in their homes as Ashalaja, Weija, Oblogo and Tetegu areas flood. The residents have described it as a crisis situation as many homes have nearly been submerged.

At least five people have sustained multiple gunshot injuries with one pronounced dead in a shooting incident in the Nkwanta South Municipality of the Oti Region. A 27-year-old was pronounced dead on arrival at Nkwanta St Joseph Catholic Hospital with one who is in critical condition referred to the Municipal hospital.
