What's that? Life in the Covid-19 lockdown is terrible for you just because you can't go outside to play, work and see your friends or loved ones?
Oh, BIG boohoo.
Just so you know, there are disowned war kids, sitting by the streets, domestic violence happening during this lockdown as we speak and there are people who have been living in isolation FOR YEARS: they're called Hikikomori in Japan. Come and listen to this episode, to kill time and actually learn something, this lockdown.
Let's all be safe, responsible & grow some vagina during these trying times.
Amen.

I'M BACKKK!
Get cosy as I open up about how I realized I may have social anxiety after being in LA, California, 3 times and what I am going to do about it.
Funny thing is.. I have performed on stage before. I just suck at small talk.
My ethnicity is Malay, so how do I explain that to my foreign friends? Do you have that difficulty too? Our history is so rich & vast that I'll end up starting a history class. Like yeah, you're Bawean, Java or Bugis, but how far do you know, get what I mean?
And there is a resaon why Malay people features, look so close to Thais, Vietnamese, Filipinos, Papua New Guinea, Australian aborigines and even Hawaiian people.
My maternal side is Malaysian, Negeri Sembilan. My great grandma, whom I am fortunate to meet, speaks Bahasa Nogoghi & Tail. I'm sure coming from Negeri Sembilan, we have Minangkabau blood but I found out from one of my aunt that my long, long ancestors were of Russian descent. Influence or origin, I don't know. My paternal side is of Malaccan descent and it was said that my great grandmother has Chinese blood? Once again, influence or origin, god knows.
Bloodlines, man. I feel like I opened a whole Pandora Box of tabs when I try to research my bloodline. Please, a Malay brother or sister, please open up a DNA kit company.
And people, Sang Nila Utama. Google it. Ok, bye.
“So, when are you gonna have kids?”, is not an icebreaker question. The practice of careless formalities in our society, have caused a lot more damage than necessary. Has our lives really turned into a shopping list, that we have to self-impose, our list to our surroundings for the comfort validation of being “normal”?
In Episode 14, I get to sit down with a dear friend, Zee, a co-founder & one half of PlayPause as she opens up about her journey through infertility.
We reminisced about how we met - Beats Society, a once Hip Hop organisation in SG, talked about PLayPause's success, when she discovered she was infertile, what Prolactinoma is, how Wan, her husband has been her strongest support system & how she persevered through the difficult times, among other topics.
To anyone who is suffering from the repercussions of infertility or anyone who can relate to this, I hope in some ways, your heart is cured with laughter & hope after listening to this.
This story wouldn't be out if it was not for both of you, Zee & Wan. Thank you for being an inspiration to me and soon, so many others.
In OFFSIDE #8, LOVED ONES..I would haunt you. Listen to find out if I am going to haunt you. How am I going to haunt you? Go to www.adossier.wordpress.com because, too much details to speak, so write. Also, I was not kidding when I say I curse like a.. let's not say, sailor...let's say, I curse like a man who hasn't had sex for a month. CRANNNKY.
In conjunction to Halloween, being a superhero is too much responsibility. Have fun, be a ghost.
Tune in to find out why, I was a little bit disheartened about my podcast, how I pulled through & what the next main content of ADOSSIER is gonna be. Ladies, you might want to tune in. I've talked about sex & period, too often. But, this time, HINT: It is also about our private parts opening up to a new life.
FOR SINGAPOREANS & NEW FOREIGN FRIENDS: FOODPANDA GOODIES AT THE END. SO...LISTEN.
I love you, bye.
Listen to Part 1 first, before you listen to Part 2.
If you have read about a recent murder case of a Singaporean husband killing his wife & stepson in Malacca, this is it. Ada, is Finn's younger sister and coincidentally enough, the world has aligned us; she is a co-worker & a friend of mine. In light of this case, both families were in chaos and since the case went viral on social media, the comments did not do any good to any one of them, while they were grieving.
In Part 2, I narrate the progress of the case, up to the recent week.
How sure are you, that this will not happen to any one of us? What secures it? I pray that it doesn't even comes close. But once again, I believe, everything is written. Let this be a lesson to ALL of us. May the families involved get their peace and clarity in their hearts soon enough. May all of us, strive to be better human beings that will be will accountable for our ways around this world and in this case, around social media. Freedom of speech, does not mean free of anything. Speech comes with feelings and repercussions. And if the family of the deceased, or Ada and her family, didn't have the strength to handle what you commented, would you even feel remorse?
Just the right kind of dark for Halloween, isn't it?
Don't forget to tell your loved ones, friends or just about anyone, that you love them.
I never thought murder would hit close to home. Circle, in fact. Especially, in Singapore. But, the surrealism of this case has opened my eyes to a reminder that: we are NOTHING but just small, puny human beings on this Earth and ANYTHING can happen to us. Even if in the eyes of everyone, the thing that happens to us is "evil" or "tragic", all of us will eventually die.
In movies, we are often watching murder from the angle of the victim. But in this case, I am viewing it from the angle of the family of the accused.

This is for you, Ada.
