ताज महल, आगरा क़िला और फ़तेहपुर सीकरी के लिए मशहूर आगरा शहर यमुना नदी के किनारे बसा है|

ताज महल दुनिया के सात आश्चर्यों में से एक माना जाता है| इसकी संगमर्मर की कारीगरी और बारीक नक्काशी इतनी सुंदर है कि इसे देखने के लिए देश विदेश से लोग आते है। यह महल मुग़ल सुलतान शाहजहां ने अपनी पत्नी मुमताज़ महल की याद में बनाया था।

आगरा किला जिसे लाल किला के नाम से भी जाना जाता है, आगरा के विश्व धोरोहर में से है | इस किले का मोती मस्जिद, दीवान-ए-आम और दीवान-ए-खास, शीश महल काफी मशहूर है|

आगरा अपने किनारी बाज़ार, जेवरात और कपड़ों की दुकानों के लिए भी प्रसिद्ध है| "चौबे जी का फाटक" पर यहाँ की सब से बड़ी सोने-चाँदी की दुकान है| आगरा में बनाए जाने वाले चमड़े के सामान देश विदेश में निर्यात होते है| यहाँ का हस्तशिल्प, ज़री-जर्दोज़ी का काम और संगमरमर और पत्थर पर किये जाने वाले नक्काशी काम बहुत सुंदर होते है|

आगरे का "पेठा" , "गजक" और "दालमोठ" इस शहर की एक और विशेषता है|

Agra

Agra, which is famous for the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, and Fatehpur Sikhri, is located on the banks of the Yamuna River.

The Taj Mahal is considered to be one of the seven wonders of the world. The art and engravings done on the marble are so beautiful that people from all over the world visit this monument to see them. The tomb was built by the Mughal sultan Shah Jahan in the memory of his wife, Mumtaz Mahal.

The Agra Fort, which is also called the Red Fort, is one of the world heritage monuments of Agra City. The Moti Masjid, Deevan-e-aam, and Deevan-e-khaas are quite famous.

Agra is also famous for its brocade, jewelry, and clothes market. There are big gold and silver shops at Chaubejee ka Fatak. The leather goods manufactured here are exported all over the world. The handicrafts, zari-jardozii work, and the fine carvings done on marble and stone are very beautiful.

The petha, gajak, and daalmootha are the speciality of this city.
