In the latest Adventure Game Hotspot podcast we break down our favorite moments at the Adventure Game fan Fair, our favorite worlds in Sierra-Online adventure games and then we do our top 5 where we each choose our 5 favorite classic adventure game houses / mansions, castles, etc. As you might imagine, we have some fun with this one.
Forbes gave the old college try in ranking the 15 greatest adventure games ever. However, they failed about as much as Jack Allin, who also tried to give 15 financial tips (yes, you will find his hilarious fake tips in this podcast). We break down their choices of adventure games, laugh at them and then discuss our top 5 things that we as games do in and out of game.
In this episode of Adventure Game Hotspot podcast, Joshua and Jack talk about how busy of a summer it's been in the adventure game industry. They break down Riven and also discuss the news about A Quiet Place coming to the video game world.
They also discuss each game that is going to be on hand at the Adventure Game fan Fair and....they each choose their 5 favorite Keanu Reeves movies.
Some games are just stupid. Oftentimes that is part of the charm. That was the purpose. Sam and Max could be considered a purposely stupid (and awesome BTW) game. But sometimes games are unintentionally stupid. We are discussing both of those and we do it with The Lightfoot Brothers developers. They are making a really neat looking game called Sleepytime Village. We discuss that as well. Strap and because we are about to get STOOPID.

Can you imagine being a fan of Sierra Adventure games one day, and then the next day creating adventure games with your hero's the next day? That is the genesis of Steve Conrad's adventure into adventure game design. And what an adventure it is. If there was a big Sierra game in the early to mid 90's, it's a good bet that Steve had a role in the development. We talk about the Sierra days, the days at Sony, music and comedy. Steve, Joshua and Mat Aukamp also each choose their favorite Sierra-Online characters.
In this episode of Adventure Game Hotspot podcast, Joshua, Jack and Adventure Game Geek break down why they love adventure games and why it's so easy for them to keep coming back.
in this Adventure Game Hotspot podcast Joshua and Jeff talk to musical savant and creator of King's Quest 5, and the currently in development KQ6: An Ode to the Isle Eric Olsom. We break down the fun and nerve wrecking challenges to creating adventure game vinyl.
Stay to the end because we each choose 5 of our most memorable King's Quest experiences.
Follow MAGIC MAP STUDIO King's Quest VI: An Ode to the Isles and consider grabbing a copy. It's currently in it's crowd funding phase and the artists involved in creating these can use the help and support...and you could use a beautiful copy. Sounds like an easy choice if you ask me.

Adventure Game Hotspot sat down with Jane Jensen and Robert Holmes on the podcast to discuss the future of Gabriel Knight 4. Jane and Robert spill the beans regarding their discussions with Activision, what the style of game they imagine it will be and what the story will be about. Let me tell you, it's NOT WHAT YOU THINK IT'S GOING TO BE but it's a real possibility of happening.
As you might imagine, so much more was discussed.
Do you want to meet Jane and Robert? Well, you can at the Adventure Game Fan Fair in Tacoma. Kickstarter link is here:
