This ten-episode Adventure Time spin-off, streaming on Max, pulls away from the original story of Finn and Jake and instead focusses on their gender-swapped counterparts, Fionna and Cake. The series, which we discuss in this podcast, retains the humor, mind bending plots and surreal fantasy that made its first run so special. Though we certainly did not pick up every Easter Egg or call back to its predecessor, it's clear this is the most dark, existential, serious Y7 show ever. Tune in for our review.
