Welcome long-time AEW fans and newly converted WWE fans! This podcast was once a show about Raw - and now we’re experiencing AEW Dynamite for the first time!
We are Robert Clarke-Chan, Calder Holbrook, and Theresa Gumprecht - three Los Angeles comedians trying to social distance while still enjoying fine sports entertainment. We give every match a thumbs up, thumbs down, or thumbs in the middle and this one was solid through and through. Won’t you join us as Calder attempts to explain [waves at this whole thing] to Theresa, who hasn’t seen AEW at all, and Chan, who hasn’t watched in months. How does the show look to fresh eyes?
Rating: 82% - Must Watch
We’re still in the afterglow of Wrestlemania, which means another must watch episode! Calder is out this week, so we’ve got the kick-ass Erika Curry filling in. Who will qualify for the Moneybags match? What’s the Moneybags match? Listen to find out!
Rating: 93% - Must Watch
We're back! Corona tried to kick our ass - and managed to derail us for a couple weeks - but we made it! It’s the night after Wrestlemania - and we’ve got a flash recap of both nights to kick things off (spoiler: it’s Worth Watching)!
Then it’s off to the races for the best Raw we’ve seen since this podcast started! Despite all the weirdness (and there’s PLENTY of weirdness), solid wrestling, intense promos, and a near 30-minute barnburner from Aleister Black and Apollo Crews deliver everything you could want out of a wrestling show (minus the audience, of course).
Plus! Calder’s got a weird hair thing! Theresa’s grandmother was a boss! And Chan needs a hug. A sweaty, sweaty hug.
Rating: 79% - Worth Watching
Well, this is a weird one all around! Theresa, Chan, and Calder are all recording from their respective homes to do their part to "flatten the curve", while Raw is doing the same by replaying the nearly two-hour Royal Rumble match in its entirety! Reruns aside, there's a lot of top notch stuff here including, obviously, Stone Cold looking like he's having more fun than a man has a right to. Take care of yourselves out there!
Rating: 76% - Worth Watching
A weird, but watchable episode of Raw this week as we build to a possibly canceled Wrestlemania? There’s a brief moment where it looks like maybe we could get a forty minute Aleister vs. Rollins match (since Seth used to be Tyler Black on the indies … is this Black on Black violence?), but alas, we are robbed. Edge is on fire, as is Becky, AJ, and much of the women’s division. Even poor Rowan gets a bit of a rub from Drew McIntyre - not that anything will get him out of that hole the tarantula dug for him. #NeverForget
Rating: 65% - Skip Around
Lesnar and McIntyre is a hell of a start to the show. It’s immediately followed by Street Profits vs. Murphy and Rollins. Kairi vs. Shayna is fantastic, as is Carrllo/Mysterio vs. Garza/Andrade. A case can be made for Aleister Black vs. The OC, but watch anything else at your own risk. The Riott Squad match is a mess, Ricochet getting buried is a heartbreaker, and Orton RKOing Beth Phoenix is some tired-ass gaslighting.
Maximum possible warning: no matter how much you want to know the secret in Rowan’s cage, DO NOT WATCH. It’s Gobbledy Gooker bad. It’s giving birth to a hand bad. Years from now, this will be referenced as one of Vince’s grandest creative failures.
Rating: 83% - Must Watch
All killer, no filler! Even the bad stuff - the opening segment with Randy Orton, a match between Aleister Black and Erick Rowan, and a singles bout with Dawkins and Murphy - are just mediocre. And that’s great!

Aside from the amazing run in from Shayna Baszler on an already fine Becky Lynch/Asuka match, this episode is a disaster. Angel Garza vs. Cedric Alexander is also good stuff, but two matches is definitely not worth three hours of your time.
This is the hour-long Raw recap for February 3, 2020. Our rating is a 51% - Skip This Episode.
HOWEVER, two segments stand out that are really worth watching. Humberto Carillo / Angel Garza / Rey Mysterio is fantastic, as is Asuka / Natalya / Becky Lynch. If you've got a moment, check them out. Angel Garza gets a really decent call-up from NXT and the Kabuki Warriors are never *not* entertaining as hell.
We'll be back next Monday with a ten-minute recap of this Raw plus Smackdown and NXT. Thanks for listening!

NXT UK staples “Flash” Morgan Webster and Mark Andrews have a good showing against the Viking Warriors (it’s the only match that gets thumbs up from all three hosts) and the Kabuki Warriors vs. Becky and Charlotte are fine, but otherwise … yeesh. Watch three episodes of Law and Order. What’s your flavor? SVU? CI? Original? Guaranteed, that conversation would be more interesting than this week’s Raw.
