Aerial Maps of the Heart

A brief snippet-image of Australia, a poem of sorts, a spacial vision of a landscape holding life as if suspended in amber, pickled in the aspic of heat and distance and sun and flood. Written and read by Adam Gibson. 

A poem-vignette musing on the space and heat and lonely stretches of Australia, where urban meets country, where desert meets community, where the dust storms and the gales and the overall weather reaches across and casts the whole country in its searching grip. 

A "story-poem" about a time when the electricity goes down in an Australian neighbourhood and everyone is left confused. A real blackout, like something from times past, when the electricity grid was shakier and random things happened. Everyone is confused, bewildered - what will happen? Madness? Out-of-controlness? A real blackout, like we used to have.
