A lot of us are living in cities and crowded places. Here in Chicago, we have to fight for parking spaces. Yet, even in a crowd, we can sometimes still feel lonely and disconnected. Pastor Mark Jobe believes we feel lonely or disconnected because we’re missing real, authentic connections with people. We may live around them … but we don’t know them. With the advent of COVID, people have even developed a little bit of what’s known as the Cocooning effect … insulating themselves from perceived danger instead of getting out and getting to know one another. But those who want to grow and mature in their lives and in their faith are the people who are most connected in their marriage, with their family, and in church and the community.
