In business, a partnership is a formal arrangement where two or more people or entities run a business together to make a profit. I like to think of my home as a business sometimes, and reflect on how best we can reach our family goals (profit) by working together. It is no good if everyone is on the shop floor working, with no one mentally/physically available to strategise or give oversight. Life can sometimes get so busy that we lose focus on the most important values and vision. If you are blessed to have a good life partner and child(ren), please listen and share your thoughts too. We can choose happiness over stress by being intentional in the way that we support each other as married parents. Have a great day! - Afiniki.co.uk
This week, I am pleased to have Bobby Sira, who is an integrative oncology pharmacist, yoga therapist and wellness coach. He founded PharmAveda UK in 2016 and shares what happiness means to him. We met at the Grafton Suite in Stratford-upon-Avon Hospital, where I now provide private GP services. Check out his website - https://www.pharmaveda.co.uk/ - and feel free to share your thoughts, as usual, via Afiniki.co.uk
This week's episode is based on some interesting studies (link below) about the emotional impact of supporting people with mental distress and suicidal thoughts. My AI assistants, Jack and Jill, help to explain the risks and importance of friendship and communication for suicide prevention. This topic is important to talk about because suicide is one of the saddest outcomes in mental healthcare. If we are going to look after our mental health while supporting people who may be struggling, we need to learn how to choose happiness over stress by practising safe communication and offering sustainable support, with signposting to professionals. I am pleased to say that I am now available for face-to-face doctor appointments at the Grafton Suite, if needed - DrAkanet.co.uk
Have a good week.

I am sharing this one again to remind us of the need to keep an eye on those around us, as we keep pursuing personal growth and development. Growth is a good thing, but can drive families apart when some people are left behind. We can encourage our loved ones to grow with us by sharing new information, encouraging them to keep improving and helping to break barriers to positive change. We cannot force people to grow or improve, but we can empower them with the knowledge and skills to do so, if they wish. Please feel free to share your thoughts via Afiniki.co.uk
It is important to help others, but this episode reminds us to reflect on our motives and personal circumstances to ensure that we are not doing good things for the wrong reasons, or destroying our future while trying to please others. It is said that wisdom is proven right by its results. Please feel free to share your thoughts in the comments, or join us for further discussion at the Stratford Community Hub Telescope Hour events at Afiniki.co.uk. Have a good weekend!

If you are struggling this summer or looking for some motivation, this episode reminds us to take control of our lives instead of waiting for someone else to do something about the issues we are not happy about. Do not get comfortable with less to the detriment of your loved one's well being and progress. I will be at the Stratford Community Hub next month talking more about this, if you want to join us. Remember to register at https://www.afiniki.co.uk/event-details/telescope-hour-navigating-change-finding-your-path
Have a lovely weekend!
This is an interesting episode with 12-year-old Sophie and 17-year-old Anu, talking about travel, exams, hobbies, school and how we can choose happiness over stress. Please note that the opinions expressed here are not those of their parents. teachers or hosts - they did have some very good tips for us. Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments or via Afiniki.co.uk to encourage the girls. Have a great day!
I am pleased to have my Christian friends, Dapo and Tola Awotunde, again on the Happiness Over Stress podcast this week, discussing what stress means to them, especially in the context of family life and parenting. Even though we all have personal definitions for stress, some themes remain the same. They share some great wisdom nuggets you will not want to miss. Have a great week! - Afiniki.co.uk
