  • Nigerian Petroleum Corporation To Unveil Successful Bidders For Pipeline Rehabilitation
    Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) disclosed that it will unveil the list of successful bidders among the 78 companies that submitted bids to rehabilitate its critical downstream pipelines, associated depots and terminal infrastructure in the first quarter of 2021
    The corporation, in a statement issued on Sunday in Abuja, and signed by the Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs Division, Dr. Kennie Obateru, noted that the rehabilitation would be based on a Finance, Build, Operate and Transfer (BOT) model.

    The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has further intensified its investigation on more bank customers and unauthorised FX dealers in order to ensure that the country’s forex resources are prudently managed and used for the importation of priority goods
    The central bank requested for all accounts (both Naira and foreign currency) of over 100 suspected companies, who specialise in buying forex from certain unauthorised sources without passing through the legitimate sources, thereby avoiding documentation and overheating the exchange rates.

    The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has confirmed 97 new cases of coronavirus in the country. This brings the total number of COVID-19 infections recorded in the country so far to 57,242.
    The Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) announced this on Sunday, revealing that the new infections were recorded in 11 states and the FCT.
