    Schools and universities in South Sudan are scheduled to re-open on Monday after nearly six months of closure due to the coronavirus pandemic.
    The decision to re-open schools and universities was reached during a cabinet meeting on Friday chaired by President Salva Kiir.
    Health Minister Elizabeth Acuei Yol said that there was a significant reduction in the number of infections that necessitated the re-opening of learning institutions in the country.

  • Saudi To Ease International Flight Restrictions From September 15
    Saudi Arabia interior ministry on Sunday said it will partially lift its suspension on international flights from September 15, six months after travel curbs were imposed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
    The minister said the kingdom will end all restrictions on air, land and sea transport for Saudi citizens “after January 1” next year, without specifying an exact date.

    The British economy shrank 7.6% in the three months to July, following a record 20.4% plunge in the three months to June and compared to forecasts of a 7.5% fall. Considering July only, the economy advanced 6.6%, the third straight month of growth and beating expectations of 6.7%, as coronavirus restrictions eased. Still, economic output remains 11.7% below the levels seen in February 2020, before the full impact of the pandemic.
