The podcast currently has 23 episodes available.
Michelle Obama launched a Podcast. And guess who she chose as her first guest?
Michelle chose the man in her life, her husband, Barack Obama.
My name is Phillip Nyakpo. I am the creator and producer of AfricanPod Business Forum, a podcast on Spotify, Apple Podcast, and YouTube.
AfricanPod is grounded in having thoughtful conversations.
So I decided to review Mrs. Obama’s Podcast because this first podcast can be summarised as a deep and thoughtful conversation between a woman and her husband who have been shaped by various experiences in the glare of the public – but also ceased the chance to accept the hard work of managing their relationships, raising children and more often than not, willing to share their stories.
Michelle Obama’s Podcast comes with good value for everyday living, signaling that she wants to keep pointing to the importance of taking time for deep reflections on life.
Sure, the Obamas are best known for their 8 years in the White House, as Barack served as the 44th President of the United States. Michelle’s life in politics, of course, did not start with her years in the White House.
She first experienced politics as a wife when her husband was Senator for a number of years. So it is easy to see her mostly in the context of politics.
It is possible, however, to appreciate Michelle’s podcast outside politics.
And the best way is, to the extent possible, suspend your knowledge of her as a person closely linked to the harsh full-contact sport, called politics.
The podcast is a high-quality production – a Spotify originally and available exclusively on Spotify.

Dr. Pedus Eweama is a Nigerian Medical Doctor in Perth. He used to be a professional Nurse when he first arrived in Australia. But after a few short years, he enrolled in Medical School and eventually qualified as a Medical Doctor.
Dr. Eweama also serves as President of the Nigerian Association of Western Australia. He is very concerned about the negative image of Nigeria and Nigerians across the world. He saw an opportunity to correct this when he was invited for the launch of Gibbous Moon Over Lagos, a book written by Pamela Watson.
His invitation included a chance to speak to the audience.
"There is obviously more to Nigeria than what you read in the Media," he said.
To be sure he is not dismissed as being just blind patriot, Dr. Eweama says the nation of 200 million people does face real challenges including incompetent leadership."I can tell you if our country Nigeria improves, and if we happen to have good leaders, there are way more opportunities than you can see in most of the western countries - and this is the truth. We have been plagued by poor leadership"
According to Dr Eweama, there are about 2000 Nigerians in Western Australia, they are working hard to change the persistently negative perception of Nigeria.
For the modest audience at the University of Western Australia, Dr. Pedus Eweama did really come across as a passionate advocate for Nigeria and Nigerians. AfricanPod Business Forum is a production of AfricanPod Media in Perth.

The negative impact of Coronavirus Pandemic on families, students, and migrants with no permanent residency in countries where they live is huge and easy to miss.
This has been recognized by the Ghana Association of Western Australia where an effort is being made to assist students and families who currently have no reliable sources of income or support.
A message sent out to members of the association said "The Ghana Association of Western Australia is creating a platform for Ghanaians, especially those who may be challenged economically by the COVID-19 pandemic to receive some assistance"
Those in need were encouraged to contact the association for some help.
Dr. Albert Amankwaa, President of the Ghana Association of Western Australia says the Australian government has extended significant help to citizens and permanent residents, but many Ghanaians who are temporary residents or students have not benefited. Having heard of the plight of many, the association decided to organised some assistance.
As of the time of filing this report, the number of people infected by COVID-19 in Western Australia is less than 600 with a significant daily decrease in new cases.
However, social and economic activities are still on hold with no guaranteed income for some families, temporary residents, and students.
Full economic recovery appears to be nowhere near the horizon, but Ghanaians in this community who have benefited from the modest assistance offered by the Ghana Association of Western Australia are grateful that some help could be so close.

Pamela Watson was born in Perth, Australia where she loved to see the golden sun setting across the Indian ocean to Africa. She followed the trajectory of the sun to Africa, and when she arrived, she did the unthinkable by riding a bicycle all by herself across the continent, traversing a distance of more than 14 thousand kilometers.
More than just a bike rider and adventurer, Pamela is also an Author, Entrepreneur and Management consultant in Africa’s toughest business environment – a place called Lagos, a megacity in Nigeria. She knows all about the legendary scams for which Nigeria is famous, but Pamela Watson says Lagos, Nigeria and Africa have a lot more good news stories than the world knows.
She describes Africa as having some of the most productive, resilient and creative people on earth. It is a picture she paints most beautifully in her book Gibbous Moon Over Lagos.
My thoughtful business conversation with Pamela Watson reveals her mission is to transform views and ideas about modern Africa and encourage business and social enterprise for a continent with a promising future.
My name is Phillip Nyakpo, your host on AfricanPod Business Forum - and here is the full interview in which Pamela Watson talks about growing up in Perth, Australia with dreams of Africa in her heart.

Most of all, this businesswoman never stops learning.
To start the thoughtful business conversation, I asked Nkandu how she came to believe so strongly that “if you learn how to learn, you can learn anything”
