After Hours Arc

In this episode of After Hours Arc, I finally re‑record my thoughts on Windbreaker Season 1 — and I genuinely didn’t expect this show to hit me as hard as it did.

What looks like a simple high school fighting show, turns into a surprisingly emotional story about belonging. We follow Sakura, a kid who’s spent his whole life treated like an outsider, as he arrives at Furin expecting chaos… only to find a community that actually cares. From there, the season becomes this uplifting mix of fights, friendships, and real character growth. Lets not forget all the blushing!

Between Sakura’s new crew and the intense showdown with Shishitoran, Season 1 delivers way more heart than I ever expected going in.

If you’re into action with real emotional payoff, Windbreaker might be your next binge.

In this episode of After Hours Arc, I change my mind about recording Wind Breaker s1 because I just finished Season 1 of My Dress-Up Darling — and it completely caught me off guard with how much I loved it! I just couldn't resist!

We follow Gojo, a quiet doll maker, and Kitagawa, a bold wannabe cosplayer, as their worlds collide and slowly turn into something deeper through creativity, trust, and some genuinely heartfelt moments.

From funny and awkward to surprisingly emotional, this is an easy binge that really sticks with you.

In this episode of the After Hours Arc, join me as I recap Episode 4 of Witch Hat Atelier, where Coco and the other apprentices head to the city of Kalhn for supplies.

What started as a simple trip quickly turns into something much more dangerous after Coco spots the masked witch from before and takes off after him. That decision pulls Tetia, Richeh, and Agott into the chaos, and before they know it, they’re transported into a strange stone maze.

With a dragon summoned and tension rising fast, the group is forced to work together to survive—though not without Agott calling Coco out for the mess they’re in

Meanwhile, Qifrey realizes a little to late that something is wrong and begins searching for them.

By the end, the danger surrounding Coco becomes even more clear, as the Brimmed Caps make their move early—proving she’s at the center of something much bigger!

A short and sweet birthday check-in and laid-back 4/20 vibe. Just kicking it, talking life lately, getting into the mid-30s mindset, and how the podcast’s been going behind the scenes. Nothing too heavy — just a chill session before getting back into recaps tomorrow!

In this episode of After Hours Arc, I do a quick vibe check on some Spring releases and give my first impressions on what I’ve been watching.

I talk about Go For It, Nakamura, Daemons of the Shadow Realm, and Erin the Southpaw, along with Witch Hat Atelier, which I’m still fully locked in on.

I also touch on starting My Dress-Up Darling, picking up Dr. Stone Season 2, and give a quick update on the website I’ve been building and some changes I’m making to older episodes.

In this episode of After Hours Arc, join me as I recap Episode 3 of Witch Hat Atelier, where Coco takes on her first major test at the Dadah Range.

What starts as a simple trial quickly turns dangerous, with limited tools, no experience, and Agott clearly expecting her to fail. Along the way, Coco struggles hard but eventually realizes her strength comes from her own drawing ability — something she’s been doing her whole life.

Using that, she finds a creative workaround, makes it to the top, and successfully retrieves the Diadem Herb, proving she belongs.

By the end, Coco officially becomes Qifrey's apprentice and receives her pointy hat all while the appearance of the masked witch hints that something bigger is just beginning 👀

In this episode of After Hours Arc, I finally dive into Season 1 of Dr. Stone — and honestly, I did not expect to get hooked like this.

We’re talking about a world where humanity is suddenly turned to stone… and 3,700 years later, civilization has completely reset. From there, we follow Senku, a science-obsessed genius, as he begins rebuilding the world from scratch — one invention at a time.

This is easily one of the smartest anime I’ve watched in a minute, and it gave me way more than I was expecting going in.

If you’re looking for a binge-worthy series with real progression and payoff, this might be it!

Witch Hat Atelier Recap : https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/witch-hat-atelier-recap-episodes-1-2-double-premiere/id1884184288?i=1000759957107

In this episode of After Hours Arc, I get into the first two episodes of Witch Hat Atelier — and this one pulled me in immediately.

We follow Coco, a girl obsessed with magic in a world where she’s told she’ll never be able to use it. But once she discovers how magic actually works, everything changes — and it leads to a moment that completely flips her life upside down.

From there, we move into the Atelier, where her journey really begins. We meet new characters, start learning the magic system, and get a better sense of how dangerous this world actually is.

What stood out to me right away is how magic works in this series. Everything is drawn, not spoken, and that makes every moment feel more precise and more risky.

Two episodes in, and I’m already locked in.

In this episode of After Hours Arc, I get into The Otherworld’s Books Depend on the Bean Counter — and this one honestly surprised me.

We follow Seiichiro, who gets pulled into another world by accident and instead of becoming some hero, he asks for a job. From there, he ends up working as an accountant inside the palace, and that’s where everything starts to unfold.

What begins as a slow, almost comfort-type isekai turns into something with a lot more going on. Between the kingdom’s financial issues, the miasma problem, and everything happening inside the church, there’s a lot more beneath the surface than I expected.

At the same time, the relationship between Seiichiro and Aresh is what really holds everything together. It starts off a little chaotic, but as the season goes on, it turns into something much more balanced.

This ended up being way more than just a BL isekai for me.

In this episode of After Hours Arc, I switch things up a bit and just talk through what I’ve been watching, what’s coming up this season, and where I’m at with everything right now.

This one’s a little more open — just me figuring things out in real time, from my recording setup to how I want to approach new shows moving forward.

I get into Witch Hat Atelier and realizing I completely messed up the release schedule, plus how that actually works out better for my upload timing.

I also talk about what I’m watching right now, including Dr. Stone and Hell’s Paradise, and how both of those are hitting for me in very different ways.

On top of that, I go through what I’m skipping this season, what I might come back to, and why some shows just don’t work for me — even if I wanted them to.

This episode is definitely more laid back, but it gave me a chance to reset a bit and figure out how I want to move going forward.
