Through his work at one of his best friend's Record Store "Kratzer" in his hometown Siegen, he's getting much inspirations and knowledge about music itself.

These years were to create a mastery in melodic electronica and shape a deeper perspective that has found home in labels such as ProgCity Deep Trax, Phil, Love Unlimited Vibes, Midnight Shift and Tenth Circle. Not giving a fuck about musical rules or principles, Simon is serious about his music being his alone, and allowing him to do whatever he wants, whenever. Neither is his small hometown scene of Siegen, Germany, a springwell of talent. Simon’s music is an anomaly that arose not as a result of a scene but from his concentrated efforts as a fun-loving individual with like-minded buddies.

Citing influences such as hip-hop, soul, jazz, funk and rare soundtracks of the sixtees and seventees, Simon identifies himself primarily as a producer, although DJing and his love for playing records

After finding the perfect possibility to express himself with electronic music, playing at lots of parties & clubs in his hometown Marburg, tschoris became member of "Schallplattentanzbetrieb Marburg" and resident DJ of their legendary "Tunnelaprties".

In 2011 he moved to Berlin, started his own basement parties and became fellow of the Label "Flicker Rhythm" and "Einmusika".

Over the years his style changed from rather minimalistic to groovy techhouse beats. If you want our multitalent spoils your ears with dirty technobeats, as well!

He doesn’t simply ruminate the Rheinish techno establishment - with his sound hes chosen a different path. A path that makes his music stand out as something unique. Stripped down to it’s essentials, it excels at one of electronic music’s prime functions: to make people dance. Where other producers start getting dodgy and lose themselves in sound patterns that appear more like mathematical equations, Fennec & Wolf focus on what he loves most about electronic music: letting those beats sprawl all over the urban dance floors and creating an atmosphere where we can forget everything else around ourselves. His recipe is straight forward: putting all the joy and affection he has for electronic music into his productions and sets, using clean rhythms and driving house sounds. The result creates a constant high among their audiences - something that one would not expect to find in conventional club music. “This should be played at high volume”, says the intro of the Fennec & Wolf track “Losmachen” - a claim that couldn’t be more true for his music

In a short space of time, multiple blogs like trndmusik.de were responsible for some traffic on his Soundcloud page and brought him in contact with a community that he immediately fell in love with. While the idea of sharing some good moments with like-minded people at home was essential in the beginning, Balu played a lot of gigs in 2013 and became a popular member of the local club scene. Playing warm-up sets for quite appreciated artists like Niconé, Daniel Bortz, Kollektiv Ost and Rheinrhythmik as well as some bigger festival gigs, inspired him to melodize his experiences by concentrating on his first own productions in collaboration with his fellow Max Bungert. The Idea behind the name “Monsieur Balu” is simple. It’s all about emotions. While different musical styles always ensure variation, this point must always be guaranteed.
