75 kilometers every day for 98 straight days across the second-largest country in the world. This week we cheers Ryan Keeping, the man who ran across Canada, from St. John's, Newfoundland to Victoria, British Columbia, captivating a nation and gathering nearly 100,000 followers along the way.
Ryan's story defies conventional wisdom about athletic training. Canned ravioli ? A best friend for a cameraman and a loving father to operate the van? Inspired deeply by Terry Fox's legacy, Ryans' story isn't just about ultra-endurance; it's about finding something that drives you and pursuing it relentlessly.
Ryan is already planning his next ultra-running challenges, including a potential run across the United States. Whether you're a runner or simply someone searching for motivation to pursue your own dreams, Ryan's journey shows how ordinary people can accomplish extraordinary things when they refuse to place limits on their potential.

This episode was recorded at Big Leagues in Bayers Lake. Thank you for the great food, drink and hospitality!

This week we had the pleasure of spending well over an hour with President and CEO of the Halifax Chamber of Commerce, Patrick Sullivan. He shares insights from his nine-year tenure leading 2,000 members, & representing over 90,000 employees across Nova Scotia as he prepares for retirement.
We dive into Pat's unique career driven by a passion for marketing which led him to work to such places as Moosehead Breweries, Indigo Books, Workopolis, and Tourism Nova Scotia.
We also talk about his interview with former Prime Minister Trudeau, maintaining professional political neutrality, hot topics like interprovincial trade barriers, business recovery after covid, Artificial Intelligence and more.
Patrick's true passion for entrepreneurs and businesses big and small is what truly shone out in this episode, and he shares a few ideas in our 10 questions round that could help.
We thank Patrick for his time, and to the Halifax Chamber for having a supportive network of business owners that support you and want you to succeed. If you ever want to know if the chamber could help you, email us and well be sure to connect you to one of their ambassadors. We think Patrick will be missed upon his retirement and congratulate him on a career well explored (though we also think he's not done yet!)

This week we welcome Liz LeClair, in a fast paced and informative episode where we discuss how Canada is behind when it comes taking our role in standing up against gender based violence.
A columnist, leading fundraiser and volunteer with Can't Buy My Silence, Liz explains how NDAs have become weapons that protect abusers while re-traumatizing survivors. We dig into the disturbing evolution of non-disclosure agreements from their initial intention of preventing trade secrets to how they’ve been used silencing victims of harassment and assault.
These are difficult subjects and this episode handles each topic in an open, honest and unfiltered fashion that we feel our listeners enjoy most. We are hoping Dalhousie president Dr. Kim Brooks and the Honourable Premier Tim Houston can tune into as we want Nova Scotia to be the second province that puts steeper restrictions on NDAs. We’re already behind PEI on this!
To learn more or take action, visit Can't Buy My Silence online, sign their petition, or ask your business to take their pledge committing not to use NDAs in cases of harassment or assault.
Afternoon Pint stands firmly against violence against women! We need to keep this conversation going and make sure we are doing everything we can to protect one another out there… Please share this episode!

Andrew prefers the alias PigMonkey to his own name, and for good reason. This episode covers, Superman, cancer survival, Klingons, autism, the history and challengers of Geeks vs. Nerds and much more.
The show brings together 18 previous cast members with a performance on April 4th at the McGinnis Room at Dalhousie. Tickets are available on Eventbrite with all proceeds supporting QE2 patient assistance programs.

This episode was recorded in January but its the perfect episode to listen to after a boozy St. Patricks day. This is our very first Craft Beer in Canada: Non - Alcohol Edition.
Mathieu Gagnon is one of two brewing brothers who previously owned an alcoholic brewery identified a gap in the quality non-alcoholic beer market and created Sober Carpenter, now available in all Canadian provinces and 28 US states.
Mathieu explains their arrested fermentation process that prevents beer from exceeding 0.5% alcohol while maintaining flavour integrity. Their beer is manufactured at Equals Brewing in London, Ontario with national distribution strategies focusing on major retailers. We talk everything from tariffs to distribution in this episode that will give you lots of insight into the the complicated but booming non alcohol beverage market.
Visit sobercarpenter.com to order any flavour with free delivery on two or more cases, or find select varieties at select grocery stores.

REAL TALK. COLD PINTS. That was the basic premise of longtime friends Matt and Mike when they came up with their show over a few pints of their favourite craft beer.
Many pints…
