A new study has revealed that Australian women tend to wait longer to seek emergency help for a heart attack than men.

Heart disease kills more than twice as many Australian women as breast cancer, and approximately 40 per cent of heart attacks in women are fatal. 

Consultant Cardiologist, Dr Esther Davis, told Sofie Formica on 4BC Afternoons, "I think that overall, women tend to think that heart disease isn't something that happens to women, and that still is the case despite, 20 years of us trying to trying to get the message out there."

"That leads to a couple of things, women don't tend to think they're having a heart attack when they have symptoms that might suggest it, but also they're less aware of their risk factors for having a heart attack," Dr Davis continued.

A new report has revealed that Brisbane is on track to be a global lifestyle supercity.

RSM Global's Leading Cities report highlights cities going through lightning-speed transformations. 

RSM Managing Partner, Steve Healey, told Sofie Formica on 4BC Afternoons, "I think in terms of raw numbers, we'll be a city of 6 million people."

"That represents one of the highest growth rates that's forecasted in the Asia Pacific region, which of course, in itself is a super economy."

Today marks three years since Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

On the third anniversary of the war, Russia launched its largest drone attack to date, firing 267 drones in a single, coordinated strike, according to Ukrainian officials.

Russian troops have been advancing slowly in eastern Ukraine, with reports indicating a recent slowdown in their progress due to heavy losses.

New research from Flinders University has found a correlation between fitness tracking apps and disordered eating, body image concerns and excessive exercise.

Exercise Physiologist, Nutritionist and Neuroscientist, Paul Taylor told Sofie Formica on 4BC Afternoons, "What they found was a correlation, and that's an important word here between disordered eating and particularly using the diet tracker app."

"I think if you believe that you do have a problem with disordered eating, then it might be time to give these apps a miss."
