Ordinary to Extraordinary 
Helen thinks she is an ordinary nurse, yet she recently returned from the war in Ukraine, she was there after the earthquake in Nepal, as well as most of the major disasters over the last decade. Helen also advocates and speaks globally on women's and indigenous rights, putting this with her lifetime accomplishments like climbing to the Everest base camp makes her an extraordinary woman. Alex Garner's beautiful little boy was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer at 17 months old. He was not expected to make it to 5, but he is here and now the family is wanting to do more. In Agape, unconditional love they are stepping over their own pain to help others going through similar circumstances. The dream is to have the AFL come on board and help them to make a difference.

Manuela Whitford founder and CEO of Friends with Dignity. Friends with dignity is a volunteer-based not-for-profit registered charity that provides practical programs to assist survivors of domestic violence in collaboration with refuge and crisis centers. They offer setting up homes for those escaping domestic violence and making a new start, scholarship programs for kids returning to school, and safety devices for people at risk of harm. Manuela wears her heart on her sleeve as she shares about her past and why she does what she does. Getting to know her has been an enormous pleasure, I am sure you will love her heart also.

This week we interviewed Lynda Petterwood. Lynda is an empowerment coach who works one day a week in a domestic violence shelter supporting women to rebuild their self-worth and teaching them how to break repeating patterns. 
After being one of eleven children in her own family and surviving domestic violence in the home, Lynda has dedicated her life to helping others rebuild and know that they have value.

Hi. I'm Karyn Butcher and I am the Manager of Reedy Care. It is a busy multifaceted ministry that cares for the vulnerable in our community. The ministry involves an Op Shop, Cafe, outdoor playground, and Food Hampers. Reedy Care also helps local school chaplains and charities.

Vicky Rose is the coordinator of the Nerang Neighborhood center. Vicky has a huge heart for the homeless and advocates for affordable housing and food security via the center and the political arena. Vicky gives 150% to helping others on the smell of an oily rag and is making a massive difference in people's lives. The Nerang neighbor center has
