Deuteronomy 6:3-9

Over the years there has been a decline in the family. The enemy has made it a point to attack and destroy families. However, God wants to build strong families with Godly family values for the kingdom. But what are family values that can build strong families? Our goal must not be to conform to what the world says are family values but the biblical principles that God wants us to use to build our family. The word of God must be our foundational source in our lives. We are missing out on our promise land because we are not obedient. A fear of God should manifest in steadfast and consistent obedience.  Also, put God first in your life and put his words into action. When we begin to take heed to the commandments that God has given us, we are on our way to the promise land.

1st Corinthians 13:1-8

The God type of love is unconditional, but sometimes as believers, we are not good representatives of Gods love. We have to learn how to grow spiritually. And a part of that growth process is removing whatever is keeping us from allowing Gods light to shine through us. 

So what isn't love?

Love is not envious or hateful. We must be selfless and not selfish.

Love is not proud. Pride cannot coexist with Godly love. 

Love does not boast. Love is focused on the loved one and not one's self.

Love is not rude. We are representing we must behave as such and have good manners

Love is not self-seeking. You don't have to have everything your way.

Love is not easily angered. Love respects one another.

Loves keep no record. 

Love does not love evil and rejoices at wrongdoing

What love is?

Love is the birthmark of the believer, without the birthmark of love, people don't know who you really are. As believers, we have to show who God is in our lives through love. Often times we forget where God has brought us from and we begin to judge and condemn others. This is why many people do not like going to church. As the body of Christ, we must continually practice walking in love. 

So what is love?

Love is patient and love is kind. So when you practice love, start by practicing patience. Then look for ways to contribute and be kind to others. 

We must begin to show the love that God wants us to show every day!

Love can be a really difficult pill to swallow. Often we want to feel justified in our feeling of hatred towards someone else. When we are in our flesh it is easy to want or seek revenge. But God calls us to not only love our enemy but to pray for them. It is important to remember that God has mercy on us even though we don't deserve it. Jesus paid the penalty for our sins with his life, so we don't have to pay with our lives. In order for me to obtain mercy, you must first show mercy. This means even if someone hurts you, you must show compassion for them. When you think of all the things you have done and how God showed mercy and love for you, you will be lead to show the same compassion for others as God has shown for you.

1st Chronicles 4:10

The enemy targets you more when the hand of God is on you. He targets you because he wants to make sure the covenant is broken with God. Satan wants you to lose connection with God so he can lead you to sin. And in this Satan wants to hurt you and make you feel pain. All sin causes pain not only to ourselves but to the people around us. This pain runs deep and can cause generational curses that affect your children. You have the responsibility to break down your strongholds, cut illegal soul ties, remove the residue of the sin, and allow God to take residents on our lives. God wants us totally free and whole again.

1st Chronicles 4:10

It is important this year to make sure the hand of the Lord is on your life. When the enemy puts his hands on you, he will continually try to weigh you down and make you weary. When Gods' hand is on you, he wants you to succeed in whatever you are doing. He will even intervene on your behalf to make it happen. The hand of God can be heavy to discipline his people, it empowers the believer, and it is dangerous and deadly against his enemies. God chooses ordinary people for an impossible mission. When Gods' hand is on you he will create the impossible in your life.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

The Lord moves in seasons and appointed times which means God has set aside time just for you. So, what season are you in? It is important to understand that everyone's season is not the same. Some things you have to endure for a season in order to reach what God has for you. The word says "Let us not be weary in well doing; for in due season we shall reap, if we don't faint". God makes the appointments in our lives but we have to yield to God during the season.  God is seeking to grow us spiritually during our seasons so keep doing well in the season that you're in.

1st Chronicles 4:9-11

As believers and as people, we want answers to all the questions we have. We ask God and we desperately look in every avenue for answers we are looking for. However, God is not moved by the constant pursuit for the answers. And this bothers us because we don't allow ourselves to yield to his spirt. Personal change begins when you cry out to God for what he wants for you. With your hands open and an expecting heart. Call out to the Lord and press on him to blow your mind. From here, God will begin to show you his blessing. Being blessed means you have everything you need from the kingdom. So why do we feel the need to go outside the kingdom to find joy? God wants us to forget about the worldly things and focus on him.
