Faith is more than just believing. It’s about putting what you know to be true into action. This happens all the time in your everyday life. When you sit down in a chair, you’re trusting that it will hold you. You eat food believing that it’ll fill you up. But this also applies to your spiritual life. Today, Pastor Terry encourages you to have an active faith, to step out and do what God is asking. Like with the lame man who picked up his mat and stood, God, will do incredible things in and through you when you take action.

We all know that some poor choices we make can leave a bigger mark than others. Hypocrisy- saying one thing while doing another- is a prime example of this. Whether it’s obvious or hidden, Jesus says hypocrisy is incredibly destructive. It damages relationships, ruins reputations, and hinders the work that God wants to do. Let’s be honest. No one has it all together. We’re all a bit of a train wreck. We all need Jesus. In today’s message, Pastor Terry invites you to embrace the reality that you’re a work in progress. You’re not perfect and you never will be. God is working on you and He’ll keep at it until you’re with Him in eternity. When something great happens to someone you know, you celebrate with them. You share their joy and excitement. Well, as Pastor Terry explains today, that’s exactly what happens in this passage. People saw the work that God was doing and it caused them to rejoice and give Him glory. The lame man could walk again! How amazing! But this isn’t just a story for the past. God is still at work today. You’ll be encouraged to allow the Lord to work through you so that others will see and know that He’s real.

As believers and followers of Christ, we-have-been-forgiven! Unfortunately, many of us can go through seasons where we revisit the sins we've already been forgiven of, and end up feeling condemnation. More often than not, this leads to all sorts of problems. BECAUSE once you've accepted Jesus, His spirit lives in YOU! Now, you've got this great gift of His power to do what you thought you couldn't. Christian or not, you can't bring any kind of hope or healing to this hurting world. ONLY Jesus can through His Spirit and your willingness. This is what Pastor Terry talks about in today's message.
