The grace and mercy of God is seen in the banishing of Adam and Eve from the garden. As odd as it may seem, the plan of God for our salvation from sin comes when he punishes as a good parent should - doing so with redemption and restoration always in mind.

When humanity chooses their own way, communion with God is lost, as well as community with one another. Yet, God's grace is seen instantly when, in the midst of their rejection, he provides the way home.

Human beings were created by God for a reason and with purpose. In this is a divine mystery, one which reveals itself in and through Christ. We find we are his bride, and the marriage union, as defined here, is the perfect picture of the completed image bearer.

One of the most difficult things to do is try in a short amount of time to bring justice to such a deep and complex passage of Scripture. We are going to attempt however to look at the portion of God's story which seems to bring quite a bit of division, both in the church as well as outside it.
