About Anthony Calpas
Anthony is the founder and manager of a private investment fund specializing in blockchain technology-based assets. After first focusing investments on hardware and software infrastructures that power blockchain networks, the key area of focus for the foreseeable future are the widespread integration of blockchain technology into traditional industries and business cases, leading to increased efficiency and value creation in areas such as financial transactions, legal contracts, supply chains, CBDCs, and 3D manufacturing to name a few. A close eye will also be kept on all things related to tokenizing real-world assets (both in private and public capital markets).
Past experiences outside of the financial industry are also worth mentioning as they led Anthony to broaden his vision on international trades and inter-state cooperation. As an Officer in the French Navy, he liaised with European, American, and Asian military and diplomatic services to coordinate a joint task force against maritime piracy in the region of East Africa (Operation Atalanta). Following his time in the Navy, Anthony worked as a rocket scientist specializing in embedded software and cryptographic systems on missiles, rockets, drones, and aircraft (civilian and military). He was heavily involved in several international industrial programs between space and defense companies and European governments (mainly France, UK, Spain, and Germany). He was - additionally - tasked with overseeing early-stage AI research projects.
