We expand on our last conversation furthering ways we can support others during their grieving journey and even defining our own terms of how we need to grieve.
We talk about expectations of others when it comes to grief and even judgement regarding the grieving process and how we can educate others around us when we are in this place as to what we need for the grieving process. We acknowledge that while grief won’t have an expiration date, we can begin the process of healing through light – recognizing our own illuminating from within and as our guest shares in her work and book, Light After Loss, through Light-Shift practices. We focus on a multitude of ways to make meaning out of loss, to celebrate our loved ones, especially during the holidays and special anniversary occasions when we might feel especially heartbroken in the depths of bereavement – to bring them closer to us and warm our heart and soul with love.
Listeners will truly appreciate the wisdom-packed hour as we analyze grief from so many different perspectives in an effort to help everyone better understand it towards healing, hope and finding purpose to live in the light again following the loss of a loved one so dear. In this Aging GreatFULLy power-hour we begin a two-part series on an important topic most of us face at some point in our lives – coping with grief and being prepared for end-of-life. However, we begin the hour talking about some of your favorite TV shows, because on the Aging GreatFULLy show, we’re never cookie cutter! But you’ll soon understand why… as we do make our way to explore several kinds of grief, including the challenging emotions we may be left with after experiencing the loss of a loved one.
Host Holley Kelley shares how we often end up replaying all those challenging post-death emotions of regret, resentment and remorse through what she calls our “Wouldas, Shouldas and Couldas” renderings. But this Ground Hog Day replay we subject ourselves to can also often prevent us from moving forward to live our best life and experiencing healthy grieving – good grief.
We talk about how grief can come in many varieties and discuss the challenges many have in knowing how to deal with their own grief journey and how to support others who are grieving too. Kelley takes us through the hour as we look at grief from a variety of angles and experiences.
Kelley also is a huge advocate of advance care and end-of-life planning as an EOL consultant. She is author of the Amazon #1 Release, National and International Multi-award winning book, Sunrises and Sunsets: Final Affairs Forged with Flair, Finesse and FUNctionality, that has helped readers around the world plan for the end and inspire their GRAND new beginning with her novel approach to living fully while being thoughtfully prepared. Her book is available on Amazon, Barnes and Noble or visit www.HolleyKelley.com for autographed copies. Listen to this episode for a special and limited promo code she shares.
In summary, Kelley invites listeners to consider special ways to upcycle their grief to celebrate their loved ones – something she calls Quilting Good Grief© with a “Good Grief Quilt Patch”©. • The Fountain of YOU-th! with Gregory Landsman
In this Aging GreatFULLy power-hour we invite you to bask in the Fountain of YOU-th! That’s right, come gather around for this conversation all about YOU, destressing, healthy, AGEless living and self-care strategies for your mind, body and soul with returning guest, one of the world’s most noted beauty and wellness experts to the supermodels and superstars, Gregory Landsman. Gregory is a best-selling author of nine-books and the TV Host of Face Lifting Food – a show about how to use food to lower stress and maintain healthy, younger looking skin, shown in universities, wellness centers and in more than 70 countries worldwide.
Join us for a conversation beyond beauty, as Gregory speaks to the essence of seeing one another with our heart. As he says, it’s beyond the skin and not “hard work, but heart work”. The conversation flows effortlessly as only it can with Gregory Landsman because he is passionate about his work and believes that “How you age is in your hands.” You will LOVE his acronym for BEAUTY!
We talk about the external messages we’re receiving about growing older from the greater world from a variety of sources and how we may be internalizing them, including how they may be wearing us down. But we also discuss what we should “say back” to these messages once we acknowledge them.
Gregory believes that Mother Nature has provided what we need to provide self-care and natural remedies for skin care. And his books highlight his processes beautifully as he shares how to reduce stress and skin stress naturally (one of the greatest causes of premature skin aging) to naturally age less while embracing every beautiful stAGE along life’s way.
But we also talk about the Fountain of YOU-th, in that Fountains spring forth life and vitality. Every fountain is beautiful and YOUnique. And we believe this to be true about every Aging Rebel. And the Fountain of Youth itself represented the great quest for youth. And as such, we love that Aging Rebels are dedicated to seizing and bubbling up their own child-like wonder in their curious and ongoing zest for life! And much like a fountain, Aging Rebels possess an enthusiastic approach to living, inspiring others through being great Role Models. Much like a fountain offers abundance, we also speak to the many special and important gifts and wisdom every listener has within them to share with the world around them at every stAGE!
We focus on Gregory Landsman’s best-selling trilogy, Face Fitness, Face Food and Face Value, a dynamic work he has created that provides readers with a solution to transform the health of their skin naturally as we take a deep dive into the challenges many encounter with their internal thoughts, perceptions and even fears about growing older – even from a very young age.
As a sought-after expert who has worked in the beauty and fashion industry for over 30 years, Gregory has developed his own GL De-stress and AGE Less method. Based on ancient modalities that have been used for thousands of years, his techniques are proven, endorsed and science based. They have been used by the global beauty industry for years to teach models how to de-stress their bodies and skin. But Gregory believes everyone should have affordable access to this type of self-care.
It's a special conversation about one of my favorite topics – YOU, Aging Rebels! You won’t want to miss it!
To learn more about Gregory Landsman, visit him at www.GregoryLandsman.com where you can connect with him and also access the free eBook shared on this show, purchase his books and more. His books are also available at your favorite book retailers and his book trilogy, Face Fitness, Face Value and Face Food is available on Amazon in paperback https://a.co/d/0HrCFPM and also available as an affordable eBook version.

It was after experiencing that, he decided to write a book to help prepare others for the emotional and financial experiences ahead.
He understood that empty nest was a life cross road and he wanted to be a symbolic flag holder, showing others which roads to take, sharing a road map and guide book as they navigated the journey ahead. He takes them on a fun road trip rich with tips, wisdom, and experience from one whose been there and done that – bumper sticker and all to prove it – on the back of the minivan – he’s putting up for sale. Yes, he even discusses that!
Aging Rebels will so enjoy this candid convo as Matt sheds light on myth busting, FOMO, the emotional side of having university-bound kids and how to deal with what you're feeling all the while. From downsizing to feeling crushed in between that sandwich generation, we cover it all! It's an authentic dialogue with great advice that every parent can benefit from and our time together is a reflection of what is found between the pages of his book, Empty Nest Full Pockets.
In addition to helping people achieve their financial goals and dreams, Matt Meline Sr., CFP® founded PrairieFire in 2019 during his own empty nester journey. Inspired by the idea of a Prairie Fire sparking new growth by clearing remnants of the past, Matt’s approach helps families strip away old financial beliefs and preconceptions they’ve built up over time so they can focus on the goals that matter most with a clear, renewed sense of purpose. Matt believes in a life founded on passion, purpose and dreams and even talks about the importance of a having “fun jar!”
