This Sunday we looked at the account of Babel in Genesis 11 and how it resulted in the creation of cultures and languages, but what was really going on and where what was God doing?

This week we took a look at the epic account of Noah and the flood. We wrestled with the questions of was God still close at that time and what was His heart through it all happening?

This vision and values Sunday we asked the question if we we living lives empowered by the Spirit or in our own strength, and what could a life empowered by God look like?

God is center and close and has been from the beginning. Since the start God has sought to show his grace to his creation even to Cain after he murdered his brother. The story of Cain & Able although tragic tells us that God is more interested in the human heart and that he isn't ready to write us off as he could have but rather pursues us with grace.

We live in an amazing world.  Both the micro and the macro are so complex and yet so normal.  From the expanse of the universe to the single cell, all appear to be in perfect harmony … most of the time.  But why do things glitch every now and then?  Why is not all normal?  Why a weed in the flower bed?  Why a pimple on the face?  Why a tsunami on the ocean?  Why a cancer cell in the body?  Why an angry word and abusive act in the family?  Not all is normal, and Genesis 2 and 3 tells us why.

Who is our creator? What was this world created for? Where do we fit in? A continued look at the opening chapters of Genesis reveals that humanity is being invited to join the creator in making this world our home.
