​The Aerospace Maintenance Competition (AMC) is held annually in conjunction with Aviation Week Network’s MRO Americas. Teams representing educational institutions, commercial airlines, repair and manufacturing companies, general aviation and space compete in a wide range of events that will highlight their technical prowess in aviation maintenance to find out who's the best of the best. The competition is hosted by the Aerospace Maintenance Council, a non-profit organization that promotes and supports the aerospace maintenance community. Today, Six & MBP explore some of the rules and the events that go into the AMC and how aspiring mechanics (and some seasoned ones too) should visit the event and if possible, participate in one. Big shoutout to all the teams who participated in this year's AMC event including but not limited to: the all-women team from Elevate Aviation, American Airlines, United; the service members from the US Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, and the Royal Canadian Air Force; team members from various other airlines and MROs; and the student teams from various AMT schools across the US!
