AiTommy's Art'n Toon Talk - A Japanese artist sharing art tips, stories, and creative life

In this episode, I talk about creative work, personal milestones in 2025, grief, gratitude, and why I believe everything that happened this year was necessary for what comes next.

Thank you for being here and listening. I hope this episode gives you a moment to reflect on your own year too!

In this episode, I talk about something many creators quietly struggle with: losing followers.

We’ll discuss the distinction between followers and genuine fans, why large numbers don’t always indicate genuine connection, and how algorithms and fanart-driven growth can shape an audience in ways we may not always expect.

If you’ve ever felt anxious about your follower count, this episode is for you.

In this episode, I talk about why we’re drawn to people who keep trying, even when it’s scary, uncertain, or painful. This episode is a personal and emotional one for me, as I reflect on dreams, effort, and what it means to keep showing up when success isn’t guaranteed.

Hi, I’m AiTommy, a Japanese digital artist living in Saitama, who loves Powerpuff Girls(Z) and my original characters! This podcast is your friendly pal to listen to while you're working on your personal projects or your homework.

In episode 1, I talked about the importance of starting, starting anything, even when it feels scary.

So in this episode, I want to talk about the things that inevitably come with starting something new: failure, quitting, and realizing you can’t keep going.

I fail a lot. I start new projects and stop them all the time.

Today, I’m sharing those experiences, not as something to be ashamed of, but as a normal and necessary part of finding what truly fits you.

If you’ve ever felt bad about quitting or “not sticking with it,” this episode is for you.
