Alan is all DOFO all the time as we spend the show waiting on the Premier. Alan spends the time thinking out-loud on the shuffle announcements, calling up Travis (also waiting) to see what he thinks of the announcements.... and he talks some weird animal news for variety! Get your day's worth of Queens Park musings right here with us.
Alan is on a new road.. or at least Minister Yurek says he will be. Alan runs down some of the news of the day, along with Global Queens Park Bureau Chief Travis Dhanraj, The Tree Doctors Shane Goldman, University of Guelph Assistant Professor in Accounting Sonia Dhaliwal, Director of “The Woman Who Loves Giraffes” Alison Reid, and Global News Anchor Rick Zamperin. Also he wants you to know, Friday is World Giraffe day. So get those tall picnic platters ready!
AND... WE'RE BACK!! After a long weekend of Raptors Mania, Alan and Rebecca are back to decompress, talk about the experience of being in Toronto over the last few days, and maybe talk a little news. Alan, Producer Rebecca Coutts, and Global's Kamil Karamali all join the show to talk about the many views from yesterday's Raptors parade route, and Mobile Syrup's Shruti Shekar joins to talk about the lack of availability to share those views because of cellular failings anywhere close to the event. Also on the show are Global's Jamie Maraucher to update on a number of bomb threats in local post-secondary schools in Toronto today; Jeremy Welch, CEO of a specialist Cryptocurrency security company - Casa, to enlighten us on Libra currency by Facebook; and Teresa Di Felice, AVP of Government and Community Relations from CAA, to think over the subject of additional training for share drivers.
Alan is up, he is ready, he is doing his part for the Raptors tonight by telling everyone to hold...... Let's go Raptors! As we wait, Alan talks some news. He goes on location at Jurassic Park with Global's Priya Sam to get the feel there. He talks with Global's Queens Park Correspondent Travis Dhanraj to talk about the possible cabinet shuffle. He dreams of a day with more bicycle bells and less horns with Nancy Smith Lea, Director of The Centre for Active Transportation (TCAT) – a project of the Clean Air Partnership. And he talks dueling data plans with Shruti Shekar from Mobile Syrup.. something of utmost import to all the Raptors fans standing in line for 48 hours!
Alan is back in town, and happy to rejoin all of you for today's top stories.
