  • #52 Interview With Brant Phillips Author Of The Private Lender Playbook
In this interview with Brant Phillips, we discuss how he got into the real estate business. He tells me that he was broke and secondly, the main thing that drew him to real estate wasn't the money as most people think but he hated his corporate job and couldn't stand it and he recalls his first day in corporate America where he was previously 7 years in law enforcement which really has a negative stigma but he didn't play politics while he was a law enforcement officer. He remembers his wife asking him, how was his first day at a corporate job and he replied to her after processing the question that he hates the job. He added to the response that he's not going to quit but find something else to do. He says that it took him like two years to kind of figure out what could work best for him. He narrates how he was very fortunate about learning real estate and reading about  Rich Dad Poor Dad and other related stuff hence the rest is history.

Brant offers 3 pieces of advice to 20-year-old Brant on how to improve his life.
    1) -  First Things First: Health and Relationships are more important than money.
    2) - Having clarity and focus.
    3) - Teach and lead from where you're at.

  • #51 Chris Anderson On How To Choose The Right Coach For Your Goals
Choosing a coach can be a very personal experience and at the same time, it is also in many cases the most important part of your business growth. Many people are great coaches but are coaching the wrong people and we get to the bottom of what it takes to be a great coach and more importantly for YOU to be able to recognize the RIGHT coach for YOU.  In this interview, I ask Chris how does his coaching program, how much does he charge for it, and what type of people will be funneling his way. He says that he likes the idea of fulfillment and that's the part he really enjoys though he isn't good at creating a funnel and driving people to the business. He further states that he loves doing training and coaching and has two coaching programs. A bi-monthly program that is not educationally based though it is coaching which he charges $ 200 for a month consisting of like 5 people on a call. The second program is for $ 4000 for 3 months/13 weeks which are weekly one on one calls plus $ 200 a month where you get one on one coaching and group coaching. This one is for people who are ready to take action and start a business not people that aren't sure.

  • #48 Alex Camelio - Agent Inner Circle
Alex has a pretty amazing story from being a tech-obsessed who started coding at 10 years, just loves building and writing code from where he built a really cool tech company in the Real Estate world, eventually selling that company to Lone Wolf and is now an owner in Agent Inner Circle which is a blog site 100% focused on improving Real Estate Agent's careers and helping them become the best agent in their market!  As a real estate agent and investor, I enjoyed hearing about Alex's innovative touches he made on many of the United States and Canadian MLS systems! He also talks about he got into the real estate industry when he started a tech company almost 11 years ago when it was just on the cusp of mobile marketing when everything mobile and mobile technology was just coming out and apps were still fresh and no realtors' websites were fully optimized for mobile. He further narrates that it is a period where nobody's website was on a smartphone, everyone that the time wanted apps and this is where they came as a company that can supplement an app company or tech company because they did apps and other mobile marketing components where other tech companies hadn't really adopted yet. So they were appreciated for various works they did where they got contracts of management and maintaining websites, CRM tools, and other related web items which they did over a couple of years.

  • #47 Alex Burton is a 21 year Real Estate Investor Taking His Own Approach To College Rentals.
Alex Burton is a 21-year old Real Estate Investor Taking His Own Approach To College Rentals & House Hacking In Boston. A North Eastern student who has gotten the taste for real estate and is looking to build up a model for institutional investors to take part in the student housing niche. He talks about how he has taken his real estate into two different directions which are kind of funny to him. He says that he works off college students that are heavily male-dominated that is if they want a party house when they can't allow an X number of undergraduates in. So what he does is that he goes out with these groups or student organizations and finds how many students want multi-family houses. He further states that you have four apartments yet they all share the same basement and the same door. Instead of having the four or five undergrad walls, you have four different apartments all in one house, and in doing that he has created a really interesting business for himself when it comes to rentals. He says that big students groups come to him asking for rentals which have allowed him to have this time where students want to rent a whole house out in Boston on Mission hill which goes for at least $1000 per head which may have 10 - 11 beds and this has made him leverage his personal experience of where he's at in college to his job at Round Room.

Alex offers pieces of advice to his age mates on how to start out in real estate and become successful.
    1) - Figure out future money equations and present money equations and look at that and always remember that interest is the thing.

  • #46 1,000 Unit Portfolio With Jason Kennedy Alchemist Nation Podcast
In this interview with Jason Kennedy a former coach of mine, we discuss how much real estate does he still owns and what he has done in the past. He says that he is close to owning about 1000 doors and he is primarily doing a lot of fix and flips and wholesaling because his portfolio is pretty much running on its own. He says that he is currently picking up a 10 unit in Youngstown, Ohio, and other things in the works. He also talks about the 400 units that he still has in Detroit and he says that Detroit is booming and most people don't know that simply because they don't research the markets which are part of education and knowledge by knowing what you're doing. He further narrates that when most people hear Detroit, they run away from it. I also add to his narrative that a lot of bigger pockets say to stay away from Detroit hence there is a bigger stigma about it for the investment community.

Jason offers three pieces of advice to 20 years old younger version of  Jason on how to have a better easier life.
    1) - Knowledge - Educate yourself. Get a coach or mentor who is currently doing the business.
    2) - Knowledge without action is nothing.
    3) - Have the second and third streams of income going on the side.
