Alchemist Nation Podcast With Gualter Amarelo The Real Estate Mentor

Today I was fortunate to be able to spend some time catching up with my friend Matt Picheny to discuss how he got started out in real estate! Matt's story is pretty amazing because in a very short time he was able to go from 2 houses to 2,000 apartments via syndication! He says that when he was younger, his dad was involved in residential real estate for a time period where he had a real estate brokerage firm. He continues to narrate that he, his father, and father's partners bought a house and they were getting ready to rent it out. He was 5 or 6 at the time when he asked his father why would one have another house and his father explained to him that you can own a house and still rent it out. He says that he had learned the real estate concept that the time though he hadn't put it in real practice.  So when he moved to New York City, worked his way up the corporate ladder and had funds that he didn't want to put into the stock markets and this where he asked himself what is something else that he can invest in hence the start of real estate investing.

Matt offers 3 tips for people wanting to learn or start out syndication.
1) - Passively invest in a deal even though it is one because you can learn a tremendous amount.
2) - Education and learn from doing the deals and a proven mentor.
3) - Networking and networking means other investors, brokers, property managers, and networking is the most powerful out there in real estate.
