This week, our guest is Podcasting Expert, Elsie Escobar. Elsie is a yoga teacher and self-professed ‘yo-geek’ who has been podcasting since 2006. She started her first podcast, Elsie’s Yoga Class when her clients repeatedly said that they wish they could bring her on holiday with them! Since then, her popular podcast has been downloaded over 4 million times! In this episode, Elsie and I talk about why podcasting is a fantastic way to build a relationship with your audience (and a lot of fun!) and Elsie simplifies the steps to start your own podcast.

Having professionally shot photos and images on your website can really help your marketing efforts – it gives your business credibility, personality, and allows you to emotionally connect with your customers. It’s worth the investment, but many new Wellpreneurs have a lot of questions: How do I choose a photographer? How do I prepare for the shoot? What do I really need these photos for?
J. Nichole Smith is the perfect guest to give us these answers, because not only is she a talented London-based photographer, she’s also a digital marketer and graphic designer. In our discussion, Nichole explains all about the role of photography in digital marketing and professional shots help us build our brand online. Success stories of real Wellpreneurs who started out just like us are so helpful when we’re trying to get our own business off the ground. This week I have another behind-the-scenes look into a successful online business and how it has developed, and I think you’ll get a lot of ideas and inspiration from it!
Heather Rampolla started with a corporate career that she loved, but the fast pace was taking a toll on her health. It wasn’t until her husband suggested a raw foods diet for his own health that she reluctantly decided to give it a try, and she discovered huge improvements in her life. She learned so much about health during this period that she knew she had to share it with other people.
After starting her business there were a number of twists and turns, as she discovered some of her initial plans weren’t completely aligned with her passion and personal definition of success. She tells us about how she changed her niche, what she learned from coaches, and other challenges that eventually led to the successful, satisfying online business it is today.

In today’s episode, I hope to get all of you inspired to grow your wellness business with an in-depth interview that goes into the details of how to start out strong and grow your business quickly!
Health counselor Tracy Harrison serves as a great example for new Wellpreneurs – from the very beginning she just went for it and put herself out there, and her business thrived as a result. She took some bold steps to commit to her new path, ended up doing 30 public speaking engagements in her first year of business, and worked with over 20 clients before she even finished her coaching training program!
We talk about how she got her clients from speaking gigs, how she transitioned her in-person clients to virtual sessions, and one of my favorite topics – your email newsletter, how to take advantage of it, and why it should be one of your top priorities!

Many of us remember being told during health coach training about the importance of giving talks to get new clients – I know I heard it repeatedly: “Give talks! Give talks!” But does this approach really work? Maybe you’re giving talks already and it’s not getting the results you expected. Or maybe you’re terrified of speaking.
Today’s guest is Alysa Rushton, a health coach and a public speaking coach. Alysa started out in her corporate career teaching presentation and public speaking skills before becoming a health coach. Although she initially struggled to get her business off the ground (even her speaking gigs didn’t go as well as planned!) she eventually figured out the formula for a booming practice through giving strategic, targeted talks. Her success generated enough interest that she later transitioned into public speaking coaching, specifically for other coaches.
Today Alysa will be sharing a lot of secrets about how to speak effectively to generate clients, and she’ll reveal her personal journey from a successful health coaching business to her present public speaking business.

Leveraging online marketing for an in-person business is really hot topic among wellpreneurs, and today’s guest has come up with a great solution – she’s created an online community that does the promotion for her!
Laurie Villarreal’s business is an offline, in-person running and marathon training program called House of Running. She built an online Facebook community around it to help her members feel more connected to each other, but she finds that the community also helps her! By providing content on Facebook that is easily sharable, her members spread the word about House of Running and bring in new clients, which provides viral marketing for her business.
Laurie will explain how she set up her Facebook community, how she started in getting them actively engaged with each other, and how the group now functions well on its own, even without much management on her part.
The fact that Laurie started her business in Amsterdam without even knowing the Dutch language also makes her a great example of following through on what your heart tells you to do, without letting any excuses hold you back!

Welcome to the third episode in our three-part series on virtual assistants! This is a hot topic in the wellness industry, because it allows you to scale your business and get the help you need without taking on a full-time employee. I've invited two different wellpreneurs to talk about their experience working with virtual assistants, who each work with VAs in slightly different ways. They'll also be sharing their tips and advice to help save you time so you can avoid some of the mistakes they've made.
Tarah Long is an acupuncturist from Hawaii. She's been practicing for over 10 years, but has only started building her online business for the last year. Tara works with VAs on a project-by-project basis, which is helpful for getting the help you need as you need it, rather than on an ongoing basis.
Our second guest is Robin Arutt from Full Potential Living, who works with a VA on an ongoing basis. She's learned that it's more efficient for her to work with a VA to fill the gaps in her own skill set rather than learn how to do them herself, so she'll be sharing what's she's learned in her experience.

This is the second episode in our three-part series on virtual assistants. Hiring a VA is a hot topic in the wellness industry, and among solopreneurs in general, because it allows us to get the help we need without having to hire a full-time employee. So if you've been curious about hiring a VA and think you might need one, but you're not sure how to get started, this series is for you.
Part 1 from last week helped you come up with possible tasks that a VA could help you out with, and this week's episode will be taking you through the full step-by-step process of actually hiring an assistant. I'll be explaining where you can find a VA, how to write an ad, how to create a “test project” to evaluate candidates, and managing your expectations in working with a VA.
