Kiddie Aggro Raid Team defeated 6 bosses in Heroic Amirdrassil and sights are set on Smolderon and beyond next week. The team recently added several new members, including Gustytail.

House of Gamon (who will save us) cleared 8 of 9 bosses on Normal. Watch out Fyrakk (fur-akk), they’re coming for you. The team is looking for more to join them on Tuesday & Thursday nights from 9:30 to 11pm server.

On Alliance side, Hell Froze Over cleared Normal and their progression team, So Let’s Go Skating, is running Heroic tonight. (8pm Eastern on Sunday) Good luck Team!

MFN is currently on break for the holidays. It will resume on January 5th 2024. However, Kraemer and a few other members plan to still group up on Friday nights during the holiday break. During the winter event, feel free to post in guild chat or discord if you need help with the dailies or just want to hang out and chat will doing the Polar Bear Plunge and other holiday zone quests.

The AIE Fleet has completed all holdings on the Federation side. This unlocks several special items and ships for the fleet. The KDF fleet is still working on all of it’s holdings, and can use extra support for marks, dilithium, and other requirements.

Monday nights, FAR runs a Fun Night that is dedicated to our players! This is the night to check us out and join the fun! We can help you level, get through events or tough missions, or answer questions! This is also live streamed on twitch!

Beginning with this season you will have the option to skip the campaign after completing the prologue allowing you to start the season right away. The new season brings with it the usual trappings: a new questline, enemies, endgame bosses to fight, and a battle pass.

MFN – We were super casual this week due to the holiday, but that didn’t mean the galaxy went unscathed. Quinn led us to victory on many planets.

In game, the Feast of Prosperity is going on. It’s an opportunity to earn currency for pets, outfits, decorations and mounts. It’s always a fun time with its quirky missions and the community’s increased interest in doing World Bosses.

Worth noting that Feast ends Tuesday. Grab those prosperity tokens!

We’ve been killing world bosses and defeating a giant crow for the Witches’ Festival event and working on Trials again and having a lot of fun doing so even though we usually have less then 12 people.

Update 40 is out now on PC and will be out on Nov 14th for consoles.

The KDF fleet has pushed the starbase to tier 3, with the spire knocking on the door for Tier 2 completion. K-13 is closing in on Tier 1. We have made a lot of progress with the KDF fleet.

Currently in STO there is a red alert event going on and Bonus Experience event going on until the 16th. Phoenix prize pack even until the 9th.

And if you missed it, they released the Master Systems Display of the Enterprise F. For those that don’t know, this is what you would typically see on the shows of the cross section of the ship, showing the master systems. They make great desktop wallpapers.

Maellung finished their part of LOTROstream marathon and they set a personal goal of $100 that would go to Norton Children’s Hospital in Louisville, KY. By the end of the hour they with the awesome community raised $145 to their hospital of choice and almost $900 towards Extra Life (the 900 includes the 145 donated via their participant link)

Gusty: Holy COW (moo!) there is so much to talk about from Blizzcon. We’ve got not one – but THREE expansions coming in the Worldsoul Saga. The first part – The War Within – is due out next year. There is a fantastic cinematic featuring Anduin and Thrall with SPOILER ALERT: a really big sword, and I teared up watching Chris Metzen talk about WoW’s 20th Anniversary and how they are planning for the next 20 years. It’s a huge turnabout from disgraced former exec Alex Afrasiabi saying he treated every expansion like it’s the last, and then Shadowlands was the last for a lot of people. All of the Blizzcon speakers talked about listening to feedback, respecting players’ time and playstyles as well as offering more options for how they appear in game.

Some of the new things include: Cross-realm guilds and raiding. (Sounds cool but yet another test for Greenwall.) Hero class talents that will be a separate tree and support class fantasy (such as Dark Ranger for Hunters, Templar for Paladins and Farseer for Shaman). Warbands, which lets you and your alts (so many alts) share rep, a bank, reagents and gear. Any gear that your character receives will be added to your transmog, even if the character can’t equip it. Blizzard is also considering expanding which classes can wield different items, following complaints about Trading Post gear. Mog is life!

There will be a new Allied Race of Dwarves, known as Earthen, who can join either Alliance or Horde.

Dragonriding is becoming “dynamic flight” in the next expansion. Blizzard has about 100 pre-Dragonflight mounts ready and is working on the others, but players will be able to toggle between new and original flying. Druid flight form should work in the next expansion and Drakthyr will have dynamic flight in patch 10.2.5.

Speaking of patches – Season 3, patch 10.2 arrives Tuesday with Guardians of the Dream, featuring a new raid Amirdrassil. It’s finally time to kill that jerk Fyrakk and take his Legendary ax, Fyr’Alath the Dream Render. It was confirmed there will be a Season 4 with Fated Raids, like in Shadowlands. This was an event where all of the expansion’s raids were increased to max level content.

Looci: OMG, such excitement after this weekends reveals. Watching the WoW presentations was incredible, and knowing that we are really getting Cataclysm in Classic was so worth the wait. I didn’t really play much of Cata, as we were in transition from Europe back to the States, so this will be very new for me. Many of us were hoping for more info on #changes and what we are getting. Transmog is great, looking forward to that, and not having to look ridiculous in awarded gear! But those of us in WotLK were really hoping for more info on the rest of the changes. We want flex raiding, as that would make our team so happy. 10 man raiding is great, but when you have 12 or 14 who want to raid, and can only take 10, makes it a struggle week after week. I am also excited that they are keeping the heroic + concept, as I think everyone has been enjoying the greater difficulty of the heroics with it in. some of the affixes are interesting, some are much more difficult than others, and some are just plain silly. We will see what the final outcome on how those changes are done, and whether ii is an improvement, or not. Keeping dungeons relevant through the entire expansion is awesome though and so I would like to see them more deeply iterated on. They talked about a faster cadence to the patching, which can be a bit disconcerting, as we are already compressed from the original content. In WotLK it seemed like we were in Naxx for ever, Ulduar wasn’t too bad, TOC was fast, and now we are in ICC, hoping for about 4 months here before we get prepatch. We are hoping for a date of April, much later than that will be WAY too long. So if they pick up the pace much faster, that might be an issue. Altho Mists was very definitely alluded to, as for all the “Mist eries” that await!

Some of the other news from Blizzcon was interesting. Many of us are intrigued by the Season of Discovery in Vanilla. But it is Vanilla, and that means SLOOOWWWW. Level banding helps with that, and the concept of Multiclassing for lack of a better term is really interesting. And a new raid always helps.

And even though I am a mostly Classic player, The Saga of the Earthsoul is cool, and I am excited for that too.

How can I play 3 versions of WoW, as well as my SWTOR and Ark, and Baldur’s Gate, and D&D? Well I guess sleep is for the weak. More hours in a day are kind of needed for all this gaming time! ??

Diablo 4 Season 2 has started and is also looking pretty good. Some quality of life updates, like faster leveling, coupled with the season story and vampire abilities seem to be well received. I bet there’s a crew in the Diablo channel that would group up for fun times if anyone is interested.

ARK is likely going to release their remaster of the base game in the next week. We may have a group making an expedition into ARK and will post announcements if that’s going to happen.

Speaking of raids, with patch 10.2 launching on November 7th, Blizzard has announced the raid schedule. And good news everyone, all difficulties, including LFR launch together, and LFR wings unlock every week, instead of every 2 weeks.

Gather your allies and join the Dream Wardens as they stand against the machinations of Fyrakk and his allies, the Druids of the Flame—for fame, for glory, for the World Tree—and for the rewards. You’ll face nine new bosses and engage in a Dragonriding encounter, leading to the ultimate showdown at the top of Amirdrassil, the Dream’s Hope.

Lore of Umbar

The Haven of Umbar was a city to the far south of Gondor in Middle-earth, where the King’s Men and their descendants lived in a city of the same name. By the Third Age known for its sea-faring Corsairs.

New playable class

4 new regions with over 350 unique quests

New enemies that include a lion and a saltwater crocodile.

New level cap of 150

SSG wants players to have plenty to do and not necessarily get to endgame.

New endgame instances coming Dec/Jan timeframe

Map that doesn’t take up the whole map so you can have it open while running.

Looking at improving content for lower-level content while still adding endgame

Executive Producer wants more mechanisms for players to group from disparate levels such as level 75 able to run with a 105 or even a 140 and be able to do meaningful content and get good rewards.

Devs are working on stuff for all categories of player types from endgame, explorers to crafters to those who want to immerse themselves in Middle-Earth. One thing is a parrot that sits on your shoulder, that uses an equipment slot, for one group and non-combat parrot pet for another group.

VIP updates are in the works to make it more incentivizing.

Skirmishes will get looked at after Umbar, as simple as updating rewards to being better for a varied group to join in.

We one shot the 10 person TCC raid last night, or first time as a raid in about 4 months. We then proceeded to take out some bosses in Ulduar in search of great upgrades. Remember that WotLK classic back-patches higher level gear drops to older raid tiers and heroic+ dungeons. We look to have 12+ members available for raiding again and will push stronger to take down that Lich King in ICC

On Wednesday, we won our first 4 matches to sweep the weekly and complete the Galactic Seasons objective. Friday night, our heroes struggled to defeat the Traitor Among the Chiss, but, through sheer grit and determination, eventually emerged victorious.

The KDF fleet has been making big strides. The Starbase is closing in on Tier 3. The spire has been progressing nicely. We should have the best advanced tactical consoles in game soon enough. We also have been unlocking tier 1 of all the other holdings fairly quickly and this is partially so we can get some provisions for fleet members to use if they visit a friendly fleet that has more store items unlocked.

October 12th there should be a bunch of stuff coming. A new event will be starting, Fall off the Old Ones, which brings back the feline charm that everyone loved from last year. There is rumor that a free ship may be appearing also, which will be another variant of the Miranda class.

Gamma recruit creation also returns on the 12th. Gamma recruits are Jem’hadar and Jem’hadar Vanguard captains. They have special challenges you complete while playing the game to unlock rewards for the captain and account wide rewards. These captains will ally with either the Federation or the Klingon Defense Force.

GAME NEWS

Kraemer is running another Tales of Tribute Tournament for the guild and sign ups are now open. It will start on Monday October 2nd and will run for 4 weeks. The prize pool will pay out at least the top 10 players with first prize being 1.5mil gold and win or lose, everyone seems to have a great time. If you have any questions or would like to sign up, check out the Tales-of-Tribute channel in the ESO section of AIE’s Discord. I know myself and a few others are always willing to do some demonstration or practice matches to help people learn the game if they have never played.

In game news, Endless Archive and Update 40 are available on the PTS and are scheduled to launch on October 30th for PC/Mac and Nov 14th for consoles. The Endless Archive is a randomly generated PvE activity designed for one to two players. The only limit to how far you can go is your death counter. There is a limited number of deaths or team wipes permitted before the run ends, but there will be boons and buffs along the way to help. Rewards include a mount, pet, cosmetics and new class sets. There is also a new currency that drops which can be used at the Archive’s vendors for class set items, style pages, and unique buffs. Update 40 will also come with some nice quality of life updates like a new group finder tool, Grand Master attunable crafting stations, quest XP and Gold reward adjustments, and a rebalance of the Jewelry crafting skill to remove the grains and convert them to plating (the items used to upgrade from white to green/blue/purple/gold and make the process cheaper and easier compared to how it is now.

AIE is active on the Horde side of Defias Pillager, currently with 38 guild members (many alts), usually about 5 people online, a few deaths to report (send them to Mankrik), and working towards running our first dungeon soon (RFC). There is now a separate #wow-classic-hardcore chat channel and a voice channel appropriately named “Hardcore Last Words”.

This week’s MFN was a celebration of yet another planet won in Total Galactic War. Winning comes from guildies working together to earn points and it all adds up, no matter how small the number. Special mention goes to Strykezone for turning out a really glorious total of points.

The Wednesday night ops team has an open dps spot if anyone is interested. We run story mode operations and are very new to operations friendly.

Ladies and Gentlemen children of all ages starting on Monday October 2, 2023 we will be having Tales of Tribute Tournament 4. The Tournament will run for 4 weeks and games per week will be determined on the amount of enterents we get. KDF Fleet is closing in on Tier III of the starbase, Tier 2 of the Spire and Tier I of the Research Lab. The plan is to focus more on the Starbase and Spire, while getting the other holdings to Tier I so we can stack some provisions. This way if you have a friend in another fleet that has unlocked goods you wish to purchase, we have the provisions for you to use.

In May we received Update 36 “Gondor Renewed”. Summoned to Gondor by King Elessar and Queen Arwen, we are to head South and aid in the reconstruction, but beware the Heirs of Castamir, and the influence of Umbar.

But now for the big news. Our very own Maellung has joined the ranks of the LOTROStream. It’s official, he’s official! You may ask, ‘what is the LOTROStream, precious’? Well, you fool of a River-Hobbit, it’s the official live stream of The Lord of the Rings Online!

For Summer of Love, we will have a Remembrance Day gathering, Dungeons and More night, and the usual MFN on Monday night.

We are eagerly waiting for the first expansion in the new yearly format, Secrets of the Obscure. As we have no more dragons to fight, this expansion promises to go into the mysterious Wizard’s Tower that was floating in south Kessex Hills. SotO is due to launch on Aug 22nd.

FFXIV

We have been having events of all types, covering content in all expansions, throughout the week. Map nights continue to be a big player draw for the max level characters, but we also do older map nights for players that have not reached that point yet. Legacy raids, such as mount farming, old Extremes Trials, and 24-player content have been popular as well. Regardless of your playstyle, skill level, and progression, there’s group activities that you can do with AIE.

We would also like to extend a heartfelt welcome to any new or returning players that will be joining us when FFXIV will be made available to the XBOX Series S and X. (The current gen XBOX consoles). The open beta will start with patch 6.5, which will launch in early October. Again, cross play is a keynote of the game, allowing all players in AIE to play with each other, regardless of their chosen platform or control scheme. For those planning on returning with XBOX support, welcome back. For those that will be joining us on their XBOX consoles for the first time, welcome!

Don’t forget about Discord for out-of-game communication as well! The ?FFXIV channel is always hopping with conversation and chatter on the game. Also, with the recent updates to the console, both the XBOX and PS5, you can now join voice chats in Discord right on the console. Perfect for the multi-platform game that is Final Fantasy XIV.

Thank you to all of the current and former players that have played FFXIV with AIE for the past year and since our start in FFXIV 10 years ago. We could not have built this great community without you.

Clan night every Tuesday night at 9pm EDT

The summer event in game just completed. And they have put in a short 2 week red alert event.

Fed fleet has two branches of the colony to finish to be 100% done with holdings outside of provisioning.

The KDF fleet is progressing nicely with the Starbase, Spire, and research lab all closing in on tier 2.

Fleet Action Report just celebrated its 3 yr anniversary. We had tons of fun hoping in shuttles and blowing each other up.

Monday 9pm to 11pm as part of summer of love and our fun night, we are encouraging anyone that thinks they may want to try Star Trek Online, too join us. We will be creating new characters and walking anyone interested through the tutorial and start of the game.

Still to come this week, we’ll have a special Amazing Race event on Tuesday, meeting in the Juran Mountains for Remembrance on Wednesday, and have a new pilot Flight School for Galactic Starfighter where you could even bring a Level 1 character. Then our guild fun will continue throughout the year with our Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday fun nights. Hope to see you all there!

In WoW, we held a Dragonflight version of the Craft Fair on Saturday and Sunday (will update tomorrow). We’ll be running nightly Trial of Style Guild runs during the Transmog Fashion Contest mini holiday and showing off fancy new Dragon Isles and Time Rift gear.

In Dragonflight there’s lots to do with the new “Dawn of the Infinite” Mythic Dungeon and Time Rifts events. Dragonriding has been a playstyle game changer – possibly the biggest since flying was introduced in Burning Crusade – and Blizzard is in the process of adding it to the rest of WoW. A new Kalimdor Cup dragon racing event begins August 15. Players are also enjoying the ability to make any race a Warlock and obtain new appearances for their demons

Diablo 4

The latest installment in the Diablo franchise launched last month and the clan has about 150 members. Traditionally, AIE’s Heroes of Sanctuary are seasonal creatures and the game sees the most activity during new seasonal play. The first season for Diablo 4 is the Season of the Malignant and is well underway.

The game has a small, but active community with a variety of activities to keep most occupied from dungeon crawls for progress and leveling, world bosses, and up to five classes to experience the content with.

During the Summer of Love, the Diablo 4 Heroes have several “themed days” when veteran players can be available on request to assist with these activities. Please check the Summer of Love schedule but know that you can reach out in Discord at any time for assistance or fun grouping in the game.

Summer of Love got under way with TTRPG’s on Friday and Saturday. Pelell’s group survived the Tomb of Horrors and emerged with tons of gold after shenanigans. Having a Warforged named Greenwall who could Comprehend Languages helped (see what we did there?). Lithou’s Threads of Fate session had a flying daycare center in hot pursuit of a runaway ship with a diplomat’s child on board… then things got weird. Also, props to DM Lithou who kept the game going despite a power outage. Mad skills! Next Saturday Catavarie will be running a Star Wars game. Get your blasters ready!

The AIE Clan has been active since day 1 and has grown to 118 members. Many have obtained levels beyond 60 and are actively engaged in the highest world difficulty currently available: Torment, World Tier 4. Members have been active in discord voice and in-game chat, organizing activities from simple leveling, altar of Lilith hunts, world bosses, hell tides and more!

Season 1 for the game is projected to start soon in mid to late July. Some quality of life updates are also already in the works based on community feedback. Some resources for those just starting out:

WoW

Darkmoon Faire is up this week, with easy profession quests and an XP and rep buff for riding the carousel or roller coaster. These buffs stack with the Winds of Sanctuary buff. (I am checking but in the past DM Faire buffs always stack). There are also things to do at the Faire that count toward Trading Post goals – so check the Adventure log. And of course, when fishing you can get red and blue fish heads, which look ridiculous and are Gusty’s favorite thing.

Friday Alli-Horde raid is entering the alt-raid progression phase and downed two more heroic bosses. We have more people hitting KSM all the time.

Kiddie Aggro is now AOTC, getting their Sarkareth kill earlier this week. Congrats to the team! There’s two more teams knocking on the AOTC door and likely won’t be far behind. Meanwhile, Hell Froze Over took down two more heroic bosses, putting them at 4/8 heroic! Attendance was again high with more than 25 people participating.

Gusty’s Team Better Late Than Never is very close to their Ahead of the Curve achievement and fingers crossed will dps 3% harder on Monday against Heroic Sarkareth. Alliance team So Let’s Go Skating is also battling Snarkybreath.

Meanwhile, Noob Raid cleared 7 of 9 bosses on normal Aberrus Saturday and took a swipe at Echo of Neltharion. Way to go Noob Raid!

Putting the FC workshop to use by building some of the special housing exteriors. Donations can be made by going to the FC workshop for crafter XP!! Also in the future if anyone wants any of these exteriors crafted for their personal houses they need but ask… and donate the materials of course

Jess is working on unlocking all the different exteriors, for now we only have the: Mogwalls, Eatery, Outfitters, Merchant’s, Traders, Half-Timbered, Arms Supplier’s, and Shirogane Castle walls.

Fleet Action Report is celebrating their 3rd Year Anniversary on 7/20! We’ll be running our traditional PVP celebration starting at 10pm that same day.

We’re looking for players willing to celebrate with us! There will be Ship and Ground PVP, and perhaps shuttle PVP as well.

If you’d like to be a participant, please let us know. We’d like to get at least 7 players to join in to give us 2 full teams of 5 players. Faction doesn’t matter, and level doesn’t really matter.

-The final wing of LFR opens this coming week and the catalyst is now up and running to help finish off those missing tier set pieces.

-The Winds of Sanctuary event is live, which means all xp gains are increased by 50%! This week also has Mist of Pandaria Timewalking. The perfect week for returning players or alts to level SUPER FAST! (seriously, you can probably go from 60 to 70 in an afternoon by just running timewalking dungeons)

Noob Raid has ventured into Aberrus and is 5/8 in Normal.

MFN continues to sail along on Tuesday nights. The summer season is bringing a new schedule for Wednesday night PVP. It’s going to be roughly every two weeks, but it’s still worth checking on any Wednesday to see what’s happening. Friday nights is flying along with Galactic Starfighter.

The PvP season is drawing to a close, but there are still 8ish weeks left to finish up Galactic Seasons 4.

We’ve been working on Trials again and having a lot of fun doing so even though we usually have less than 12 people.

Sign ups for our next ToT Tournament are under way and the tournament starts on June 19th. If you have questions about how it works or how to play, feel free to ask in Discord. A demonstration match can be arranged to walk though how to play as well as tips and strategy.

Interest and participation in Lost Ark has greatly waned some time ago. Only a handful of people have logged in for the last 6 months. Membership was also greatly reduced through inactivity.

The AIE Communitas guild has been evacuated and will be sunsetted.

Should interest rekindle over time, we may revisit the game in the future.

By week’s end this channel will also be archived and discussion for the game can still be done through #nomads

In HFO news, the group is continuing progress on Normal Aberrus with two new boss kills this week, making the group 7/9 in normal mode! And had its highest turn out in a long time (maybe ever!) with 27 people in attendance.
