Do you need more knowledge, more books, more time?
I’m here in Iceland and I want to talk about what I discussed with my mentor yesterday. We both coach people and we’ve both noticed a common theme among our clients. That is, beginners tend to focus on putting lots of knowledge in a library. Beginners like to compile this huge mass of information, all of which they’re never going to use. It’s about becoming smarter and more knowledgeable about business. It’s not about getting concrete results.
So I’m actually filming this video to motivate you and also to show you what it’s like if you can get past just acquiring knowledge, and step into the field of implementation.
    TMI – Too Much Information
In the last four years as an entrepreneur, and while running a business, I’ve been to 29 or 30 countries. Today I’m in Iceland and in a few days I’m going to Vancouver. That’s the lifestyle that being an entrepreneur affords me. My point is that I wasn’t always enjoying this level of success.
I used to be a theory junkie too. I would read books all the time and not implement. What happened is that I thought I understood entrepreneurship because of all the books I read, but I really didn’t. This actually lasted for a few years and it didn’t help me at all until I realized one thing.
Only once I implement will all of this knowledge actually be helpful.
I literally had to realize that I didn’t have to be an expert and I didn’t have to know everything before I could start to implement. Once I realized this, I began to take action. I focused on one thing and I began to do what I already knew that I should do. After that I started to get results. The outcome is that now I live an entrepreneurial lifestyle and I get to travel the world.

Here's how I've faced perfectionism, failed and then got out of it and got on a path of success.
I’d like to talk about in this article is perfectionism. I’ve seen a lot of people get into entrepreneurship, and I’ve seen a lot of people succeed. Of course I’ve seen others fail as well. In fact when I first started as an entrepreneur, I failed my first two years in business. I wasn’t a complete failure, I had results and sales. However, I went into debt and I wasn’t very nice.
So the question is: what is perfectionism? How does that prevent some people from getting the initial success and the initial momentum that they need to build up their business and move away from the beaten path towards something a little bit more than that.
    Planning a Project
For me, whenever I started a project it always had to be perfectly planned out. It had to be laid out on a piece of paper like they taught me in college. I thought that there needed to be hundreds of pages of planning before you could build a business for yourself. Apparently I was told and I was taught that that’s what it takes. It had to be really well written with no spelling mistakes and no grammar mistakes.
Today, one of the companies that I look up to is MindBuild. At one of their events they showed their original business plan. It was literally a napkin. I know it’s kind of cliches, but they had a napkin for a plan and they turned that into a $20 million dollar business. Did they wait for twenty years to make the napkin into reality? No, they are still following the general principles that they laid out then and they are very, very successful with what they do. They’re leaders in the industry right now.
    Taking Action
What can you learn from my mistakes? What can you learn from my success and other people’s success? Well when I start a project now, the first thing that I do when I hit upon a good idea is I get started. If I think I’ve found a profitable idea then I take action, without planning it out too much. I get the ball moving and I throw it really hard.

Jan is a member of Daily Business Hustle for 6 months and is already getting some serious results. We are going to find out how he went from doing cheap virtual assistant work online to running a real online business which generates him $10K per month.
Before Jan joined DBH, he needed to work really hard to make a living. It was hard for him to make ends meet.
Later on, he was a offered a job in the marketing industry, but he was slaving away. He had to do super repetitive and boring work as a virtual assistant.
Jan knew that university is not for him and he wanted more out of life. That is why he joined Daily Business Hustle.
His friends were supportive of him, but his parents were not. They were afraid because they thought that running a business is not safe.
After Jan joined Daily Business Hustle, he learned very valuable skills like:
    • Sales
    • lead generation
    • how to outsource work
    • how to build a funnel
    • how to prioritize things inside of the business
    • how to deliver results to his clients.
He knows that running a business requires a great amount of leads that keep coming to you on a consistent basis. That is why the most important skill in business is sales and if you want to be a successful business owner, you have to master that skill first.
Right now, almost 90% of his work is outsourced to someone else. The goal is to make his business run on its’ own by automating it as much as possible.
He focused on the stuff that matters and bringing value to people, help people and make a difference in the world.
Jan’s business is very automated and does not need him as much. That frees up a lot of his time to do other cool activities like traveling around the world with friends and other members from the DBH mastermind.
Jan is learning skills and making money that he can invest in future businesses.
Business is not for people who have bad work ethic and low amount of responsibility.
Business is for people who want to help other people, who want more out of life than an ordinary job and for people who want to make a difference in the world.
If you want to get out of the freelance rat race, you need to be smart, hard-working and be able to complete tasks using your sales skills.

Soren was able to turn his freelancing career into a real business. He is now running an online marketing agency. He is increasing prices and his business is growing.
Soren was making $1500 per month as a freelancer and that was not enough at all. It was a big struggle for him. He was undercharging, giving free trials. These things were preventing Soren from achieving business success.
After Soren joined the Daily Business Hustle mastermind, his life changed for the better. There is a really clear structure and processes in his business. They are working really well.
When Soren started implementing what DBH teaches, he started working more efficiently and he was able to focus on the more important tasks.
Within a few months in DBH, Soren got more stability in his life and now he is living on his own terms.
Soren learned and mastered the most important skill in business and that is sales. Without this skill every business will fail. It is impossible for a freelancing to turn into a business without sales.
You need a proper sales process to start charging higher. If you don’t have a sales process, no one is going to buy from you, because you will not be able to convince them to buy.
Right now, Soren is location independent. He can schedule his day, he can work whenever he wants and how he wants. He is the boss of his own life.
This online business gives an incredible amount of freedom which is very important to Soren and as a result his quality of life increased dramatically.
If you want not to be dependent on other people, then business is for you. That brings a lot of responsibilities and you have to be able to handle them. Business is for people who have the drive to make things work.
Soren believes that everyone can get into business. It’s just about implementing the right processes, having the right mindset and working with a proven business model.
You need to be smart enough, be able to follow advice and be willing to work hard. These are vital things that can help you achieve success in business.

Today, I’m going to demystify the art of the “to-do list” for you. Most people who want to be successful indeed already have one.
Sometimes they use paper, EverNote, your computers notepad, or another app… but often the results aren’t what they want. So in this article, we’re going to give you a slight shift in perspective to have your productivity from your to-do list template boost up quickly.
Why To-Do Lists Haven’t Worked For You Yet
The truth is that to-do lists are notoriously ineffective. Even with tools for companies such as BaseCamp, productivity from to-do lists templates can be extremely temperamental.
There is an industry of to-do apps on the market right now that are trying to figure out the best “system” to get you more productivity, but with the tricks I’m going to show you to do, free of charge, I think that won’t be your concern any longer.
Now, it’s not that these things don’t work at all. There is a very good reason why you (or your company) may or may not be using a template regularly. The problem is that people pile these up with task after task and end up doing… not much at all.
If you’re like the vast majority of people with an ineffective to-do list, you want improvement, but you don’t quite know what that small switch is to make a big change in your ability to get things done.

Today, I’m going to teach you exactly how I get into exclusive events literally around the world and network with the top people at each of these locations. Everything you’ll read below comes directly from me while visiting a very exclusive yacht club in beautiful Vancouver, British Columbia.
    Breaking Through The First Boundary
The first major concept I want you to grapple with as we explain this process is “boundaries”.
Exclusive events and people have extremely strong boundaries when it comes to the type of people and energy they allow around them.
On the negative side of this, that means they present an image that it’s very “difficult” to get past those boundaries and you might get scared away from trying. On the positive side, that means once you get past this seemingly “difficult” boundary… you are part of the gang. You’re accepted.
People ask me all the time, “So, Aleks – how do you get access to all these VIP areas and connect with the successful people you interview on your channel so regularly? How are you allowed to film in these beautiful locations around the world?” and so on.
This is a legitimate question and I want to get this answered for you. Even here at the yacht club, it’s a fairly high security private property here in one of Canada’s most world class cities.
An important early step is not to tell yourself the cliche limiting belief that “It’s private property, therefore under no circumstances can I even attempt to get in… it’s too hard, they’ll attack me, dogs will bite me, I’ll get arrested”, and a million other excuses for not even making the effort to get access to exclusive events.

Today, I’m going to give you a surprising revelation: you’re probably doing too much work in your business right now.
Don’t Take As Long As I Did Before You Notice This
Now, I know this is probably the exact opposite of what everyone was expecting to hear from me of all people. Aren’t I supposed to be “Mr. Daily Business Hustle” and always pushing you further for more and more implementation and work ethic?
Well, of course, but it’s not that simple. If you’re just beginning, then beyond a shadow of a doubt you need to work your face off. BUT if your business is already at six-figures and above… I’ll bet that you’re doing too much work because this was exactly what was going on with me recently.
The basic scenario was this: I was running my business for a year before I really hired a team of people. It was already at six-figures, I could afford a nicer lifestyle, and things were good, but I spent an entire YEAR before I really started hiring people to help me out.
If You’re Overworked and Overwhelmed, Your Brain Slows Down
I quickly realized that with all the things I was doing, I could simply write them down in an organized fashion (or in a structured video) and teach them to someone else. These same processes could be reproduced by an employee, thus freeing up time for me to perform more pressing duties.
In fact, as I began organizing my processes into a document, I found you could likely write a book of over 100 pages of all the processes I was doing just as one man. This is simply too much.

Today, I’m about to surprise you with some advice about smart business investments for your lifestyle that is definitely got to shock some of you, so be prepared.
Why Make Smart Business Investments In Your Lifestyle?
The first surprise of this article is that I totally support the idea of moving to a bustling part of your local city. If you can find a nice place, trust me – move there. Think of this as an investment that will have hidden but extraordinary benefits, and by the end of this piece, you’ll know why.
Here’s a little background on how I came to this realization. When a few business partners and I moved to Vancouver, Canada – the city I currently reside in – we began working and living out of the suburbs. At the time, there was nothing to rent downtown, not even on AirBnB.
We literally lived in a basement in the suburbs. Sure, it was quiet, but there was nothing around. This was the only place we could find at the time and we were already positioned to build a home base in British Columbia. Consequently, we had to live in this basement in the suburbs for an entire week. Sure I got work done, but I quickly realized this situation was NOT ideal.
See An Immediate Change In Lifestyle Quality
Once the rental market opened up a bit, we immediately moved downtown. Sure, it’s more expensive than what we were paying for “the basement”, but the contrast was immediately apparent. The differences between my current place and the suburbs are about as stark as they can be.
We’re right in the heart of everything downtown and there’s no necessity or luxury that isn’t a stone’s throw away. By the way – don’t think this is a vanity thing as if we’re out here to look cool and name drop our postal code. Far from that. As the title says, we think of it as one of many smart business investments we’ve chosen to make. In this case, we’re talking about a lifestyle investment.

In this video, I want to talk about a major decision you’ll have to make when you decide to take the leap towards starting your own business. It’s a question everyone asks and it needs answering. That question, quite simply, is this: “What is the first product or service that I should start with when I’m new to entrepreneurship and starting from scratch?”
My First Business: Where The Motivation Comes From
Now what usually happens when someone chooses to take the jump into the business world is that they discover something, or more often someone, who motivated them to become an entrepreneur.
Due to the influence of the internet, this motivating person is increasingly embodied by a business coach – someone like myself or another YouTube personality.
Similarly, these days when someone decides they want to become a self-development coach, if you dig deep enough, you’ll often find they were first inspired by a well-known person in the self-development world. Naturally, once you’ve felt the spark of motivation from watching a coach you’d like to emulate… you want to do it as well.
Immediately after this realization, the next thing that commonly happens is you want to emulate that business or self-development coach in every way. I know from personal experience – it happened to me seven years ago. I told myself, “I want to become a business coach just like my mentors”.
Was I qualified to be a business coach? Probably not. But I wanted to become one because that’s the success I saw constantly through the media platforms I was following. That’s the success I wanted to emulate.
