Here's how to start a modeling agency...

My assistant was messaging people on Instagram and informing them that we are going to start a modeling agency. We were inviting them to come over to our studio to make some shots. We were showing them the quality of the pictures we have taken before.

We were able to get even professional models to our studio. It is a little bit harder to convince professional models to come, but it not impossible. If you have good pictures to show them, there is a very high chance for them to come.

We were asking our girls not to wear too much makeup and they were very self-conscious about that. These girls do not need that much makeup to look fantastic.

I was not very good at doing the photographs at the beginning, but with the help of my photography instructor I was able to get to a decent level and make very good pictures.

In order to be able to run a modeling agency you need:

• A photographer

• A lead generator

These girls are not going to agree with you immediately. You have to get them on a phone call and persuade them. You have to prove to them that you are legal and you are a professional in this field. If you do not get them on a call, they will never come.

I do not recommend to start a modeling agency. It is very hard to make money if you are running a modeling agency. You can start it cheap, but if you want to be successful in this area, you need to invest money to hire people.

There to ways to be successful in this field:

• You can be a super talented world class photographer who takes amazing photographs and the only think you are thinking is photography or you can hire someone like that.

• A lot of these girls have so many followers on Instagram. They get a lot of messages and offers to wear something on their photos for an add in exchange of giving them something for free or giving them money. You can get those people on a call and take a cut.

If you have 20 models this can really turn into a very profitable business for you. You definitely need to sell. You cannot just send them the payment link and get paid.

The more traditional business model is to sell the pictures to other magazines and you can get invited to corporate events. You can get pictures there and be paid for that.

I run my own business according to a calendar. I tell my employees to show up on time and do the things that they are supposed to do and follow the processes that they are supposed to follow. If you push this rigid structure to its limits, people will become very uncreative. It kills the creative engine in their brain.

Here are some tips that you can use to fix that problem.

1 – The first thing that you can do is to become disengaged. Once in a while take a trip, do not take your phone, stay away from the Internet and do random interesting new things like skydiving or jump from an airplane. If you have a regular habit of disengagements and try something new, then automatically you will come up with new ideas and new ways.

There is an element of chaos that is a part of your life. Chaos is necessary for creativity.

If you manage people too tightly or if you are too tightly managed it kills creativity. You should give time in the week for you employees when they can do whatever they want. That can boost creativity to an extreme level. People solve problems that the companies do not even know that they have even existed.

Adding this “Do random stuff time” is the #1 solution to increase creativity and to increase chaos in your business. That way unexpected connections can be found between problems and solutions. Problems get solved in ways that you have never thought of. People talk to others in a way that you have never thought of.

People are driven by solutions. People are looking to put everything into line. If there is some chaos, they are automatically starting to look for ways to solve them.

2 – There is also a theory called emergence. All good ideas are not created, but they are emerged. The environment is created for new processes to emerge. They automatically pop up because the environment is right. They are not created, they are emerged.

Automation does not mean automatic income streams. There is no such thing as automatic income stream. Automation means hiring people and getting them to do stuff in your company for a very reasonable price. That is called outsourcing.

The best way to outsource work is with freelancers. There are plenty of very smart freelancers who you can work with without having to put them in your office, without having to train them, without the crazy annoying paper work. You just get them to work online for you.

You can hire some very smart people who will do amazing job in your company. Most things in your business are super simple and there are a lot of freelancers that can do them. Most things can be done from people who are working for between $2 to $6 an hour.

There are only a couple of skills that you need to teach your employees. You can do anything else by just managing it in a good way and using people that are not that expensive.

Even super successful companies have plenty of employees who are just simple employees doing simple jobs. Good examples are Amazon, Walmart and McDonalds.

The 2 most important skills that you have to possess are:

• Sales

• Outsourcing

If you are extremely good at those 2 things, you can do almost anything you want even almost for free. It does not matter what you are trying to do, because if you can find the right people who can do it and if you can find the right people who can you can sell it to, then that is all that matters. You do not need anything else.

Your life can be very different and it can be even weird for you. You can avoid activities like cleaning the dishes, cleaning the house, cooking, because that can be done by someone else for a very reasonable price.

You can lead you whole life as a business and that way you can have a lot of time for the things that you enjoy and love doing.
