Former East of Ireland and North of Ireland Champion, Alex Maguire joined the podcast to reflect on his first season as a professional golfer and he reflects on his superb amateur career. From competing at a Boys level, fate finding him and providing an opportunity to study and play golf in America to winning the East of Ireland Amateur Championship twice, playing the Walker Cup and The Open Championship after winning the St. Andrew's Links Trophy.
Alex also discussed the difference between competing at an Amateur level and in the professional circuit, and why winning the East of Ireland is still his greatest amateur achievment,
