Alfonso Lincoln Ribeiro is an American actor, comedian, and television host who has worked across film, television, and Broadway. He started his career at age 8, landing the lead role in the Tony-winning Broadway musical The Tap Dance Kid. He also made his television debut on the NBC sitcom Silver Spoons alongside Ricky Schroder, becoming a teen idol. Ribeiro is best known for his role as Carlton Banks on the NBC sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.
