This week on the podcast, we're talking about the 3rd and 4th episodes of Shameless season 2. In "I'll Light a Candle for You Every Day," Frank's behavior hits a new low, while Fiona meets up with a high school crush. In "A Beautiful Mess," Fiona has to deal with the consequences of her actions, while Lip seethes over the possibility that Karen will get married. Our newbie V discusses these two episodes with Holly, Melissa, and Serrae, and then the veterans talk about the parts of these episodes that interesting to someone spoiled on the show.
In the final installment of this week's coverage of "Summertime" & "Summer Lovin'," the first two episodes of Shameless season 2, we've ventured into spoiler territory. In Part 3, Holly, Melissa, and Serrae are talking about how these two episodes fit into season 2 overall and what pieces of these stories are important later in the show. We also dig into some discussion of the ongoing Noel Fisher saga, though we don't have any easy answers for anyone. However, we do have some TV show recommendations for anyone looking for a distraction from the tumult. Warning: we also talk about endgames on other shows that aired in the past so the spoiler warning applies to Veronica Mars, ER, Roswell, and Buffy, though most of the spoilers are not very specific.
In Part 2 of this week's new material, Holly, Melissa, Serrae, & Vee are chatting about episode 2.2, "Summer Lovin'." We're talking about Frank's Butterface scheme, the differences between Karen & Mickey, and, yes, the Gallavich dugout scene. Still to come, part 3 will feature our spoiler-filled analysis of 2.1 & 2.2, along with yet another installment of Noel Fisher Watch Summer 2k15.
In this week's hiatus re-watch, we're up to the beginning of season 2, and your hosts had so much to say that we're releasing 3 episodes in 1 week! Here in part 1 of this week's coverage, Holly, Melissa and Serrae are discussing the first episode of season 2, "Summertime," with newbie Vee. Later in the week, Part 2 will feature 2.2 "Summer Lovin" and Part 3 will feature the spoilerific discussion of these 2 episodes with our Shameless veterans.
On this week's episode, we're up to the last two episodes of season 1 in our hiatus re-watch. In "Daddyz Girl," Karen unspools as Lip & Ian search for Ian's father, and JimmySteve's thievery catches up with him. In "Father Frank, Full of Grace," Fiona is faced with a difficult choice, while Lip deals with the Karen & Frank situation.
Welcome to Part 2 of this week's coverage of episodes 8 & 9 of season 1 of Shameless! In this installment, its our spoiler filled discussion. Holly, Melissa & Serrae talk about the things in these episodes that are important going forward and how these episodes relate to the show overall. We're also talking about our newb's reaction to these two eps & there's a slight tangent towards what happens when you're out of step with a show's fandom.
In the first part of this week's AlibiCast coverage of episodes 1.9 and 1.10, our Shameless newb V joins Melissa and Holly to talk about these two episodes from an unspoiled POV. In "But At Last Came a Knock," new viewers finally meet the Gallagher mother, Monica, while Debbie snoops on Steve and Ian's relationship with Mickey gets exposed. In "Nana Gallagher Had an Affair," Monica's visit continues, Ian's paternity is in question, and Eddie Jackson continues to be the worst.
Part 2 of our discussion will be posted later in the week, as Serrae joins Melissa and Holly to discus these two episodes from a spoiled POV.
In the second half of this week's podcast, we're discussing 1.8 "It's Time to Kill The Turtle." Every Gallagher gets to shine as Frank gives sobriety a whirl, Ian continues to hook up with Mickey, and Steve might actually be called Jimmy. We also have our spoiler-filled discussion of 1.7 and 1.8 after saying goodbye to newbie V.
Our discussion of episodes 1.7 and 1.8 went so long that we're posting two editions of the podcast this week! In this first installment, we're discussing "Frank Gallagher: Loving Husband, Devoted Father." Frank's faking his death, Fiona is taking a break, and Ian has a surprise hookup. Later in the week, we'll have part 2, covering "Its Time to Kill the Turtle" and our spoiler talk.
This week in our hiatus rewatch, we're up to 1.5 "Three Boys" and 1.6 "Killer Carl." Up first, we're discussing Kev and Veronica's sham wedding and why we think they're a great couple. We're amused but unconcerned about Frank's three testicles, and still grossed out by Kash & Ian. Later, we have some thoughts on the pathology of Carl Gallagher, Lip's self-destrudtive tendencies, and why we love Linda Karib.
