In Episode 392, we're stepping back into the world of The Tale of the Park-Hill Crew with a reading of Volume 3, Chapter 1: "Some Letters Don't Set You Free."

Every story has a beginning, but not every beginning brings peace. Some letters reopen old wounds, force us to confront painful memories, and remind us that closure isn't always found in words. Join me as I bring Chapter 1 to life and revisit the characters and world that started it all.

As I continue these chapter readings, I'm also returning to the creative space that inspired this trilogy while preparing to write the next chapter of the universe with Park-Hill Records.

If you've been following the series from the beginning, thank you for taking this journey with me. If you're new, welcome to the Park-Hill universe.

Also: All of my Park-Hill Crew character breakdowns are available on TikTok! If there's a specific character you'd like to dive deeper into, let me know. Upon request, I'll dedicate a special podcast episode entirely to character discussions, backstories, motivations, and behind-the-scenes insights into how they were created.

Welcome back to another episode of Ali'cia Shanise Reviews!

In Part 1 of this three-part documentary series, we begin exploring the story of Brooklyn's infamous Cash Money Brothers (CMB), led by Damion "World" Hardy and his brother Wise out of the Lafayette Gardens Houses.

This episode examines the origins of the organization, the influence of New Jack City, how the CMB name was adopted, and the image that helped build one of Brooklyn's most recognized street crews during the 1990s. We also discuss the early years of World and Wise, the environment that shaped them, and the foundation that would eventually lead to CMB's rise.

Throughout this series, we'll separate documented facts from street legend by examining court records, historical sources, and the events that helped define one of Brooklyn's most talked-about organizations.

This is Part 1 of a three-part documentary series.

This week, I'm just checking in with everyone and saying thank you for all of your continued support. In this short episode, I share why I decided to take a little more time with my upcoming Cash Money Brothers (CMB) documentary series instead of rushing the story.

I also talk about what's coming next for the podcast, including exclusive readings from The Tale of the Park-Hill Crew: Volume 3, future television recaps, and upcoming documentary-style episodes.

Since Raising Kanan is taking a short break this week, there won't be a recap, but we'll be back when the series returns.

I'm also heading out of town to spend time with family, but I'll still be researching and preparing new content. Thank you for continuing to support Ali'cia Shanise Reviews. The best is still ahead.

• How the Park-Hill Universe expands
• Why this book represents completion of a nine-year creative cycle and the beginning of something new

Whether you’ve been riding with the crew since Volume 1 or you’re just discovering the story, this episode sets the stage for what makes Volume 3 the most powerful installment yet.

This one is for the ones who grew with the story. 🖤

What’s up family 🖤
Today’s episode is special. We’ve officially reached the final chapter of Volume 2, and if you’ve been riding with the Park-Hill Crew from the beginning… you already know the weight of this moment.

In FEEL IT IN THE AIR, the tension is thick, the paranoia is loud, and the streets start whispering truths that can’t be ignored. This chapter sets the emotional and spiritual tone for what’s coming next — and trust me, everything changes from here.

💬 Quick real-life update:
I want to sincerely apologize for the slight delay in the release of Volume 3. We experienced a few small tech issues, but the good news is the book is officially dropping Tuesday 2/3/26 🎉
The link will be posted as soon as it goes live.

🎙️ BONUS:
I’ll also be doing a special podcast episode breaking down Volume 3, what to expect, the themes, and the journey ahead — no spoilers, just real talk.

Thank you for your patience, your love, and your continued support. Let’s lock in and finish Volume 2 the right way…
