Do you have a hard time trusting the Universe?

When we try to control where the path is guiding us, that's when the shadows come up and get in our way. Every time we feel we need to take over, there is a shadow we're rubbing up against, period.

Today, I'm talking about this energy of thought leaders who have decided to do their own spiritual work, who in the meantime become very condescending, very patronizing, and very shaming to others. 

This underlying judgment is really starting to rub me the wrong way. 

Spirituality is a personal journey; it is no one's business or anyone else's path other than your own. Your spiritual walk is going to look very different than someone else's. Spirituality is the most personal and intimate thing we came on this earth to do. 

Let this episode serve as a reminder that the way you are doing your spiritual journey, or anything else for that matter, is absolutely perfect. It's your journey—don't let anyone take that from you.

I know I'm not alone in saying that I've been going through so much these past few months. The energy has felt intense and dense and it's been a lot to navigate. On November 30, 2022, I lost my beloved dog, Payton. It's been a rollercoaster of grief and I've been processing so much. Then on January 18, 2023, I had a procedure to remove an IUD. Another immense release. It's been a "divine life assignment" in trusting, surrendering and walking my own talk in taking the necessary steps to staying aligned AF through it all.

Another real, and raw, and off the cuff episode! 

This week, I am having a procedure to remove an IUD. The beautiful part is instead of being fearful, I've held the energy of curiosity throughout planning for this to be removed. 

I wonder what will open up for me, once this is removed?

I wonder how my body will function differently, once this is removed?

I wonder the spiritual and energetic significance and shifts that will occur once this embedded "hook" has been removed?

I wanted to share this conversation with you today because I believe these are the real and raw moments that need to be shared. We don't discuss these kind of things in an open container like this and I think we need to. These are the real, raw, 'divine life assignments' that enrich our lives...that shape who we are.  Let's embrace these moments that carry us forward on our journey.

“New Year, New You” … ugh, that expression drives me nuts, In fact, all the hype around the New Year makes me absolutely crazy, to be perfectly honest.

It’s like we pretend we have this arbitrary switch that we are suppose to turn on that is going to change everything.

And, then we wonder why we end up failing before we’ve even really get started.

I mean most New Year’s resolutions fizzle out within a week of setting them … or best case scenario, by February. There is no real depth or substance behind most of them.

Actually, there’s a TON of BS piled into all the expectations, shoulding, shaming, and resolutions we think are magically going to transform us.

Let’s be real for a moment … they’re not.

Because there is no magic wand that takes you out of doing the REAL work.

And, the REAL work starts with YOU.

It’s with a heavy and broken heart I share the news that after 10 years, 1 month and 17 days together, I said goodbye to the love of my life, my little sweetness, my dog, Payton Wrigley, on November 30, 2022.

In a matter of 24 hours my world imploded, shattered and collapsed. And, I’m still in a state of shock. It's been a lot to process, and that's putting it incredibly mildly. 

I recognize the depth of all that I am processing and feeling. It’s such a painful path as our fur babies truly open up and heal something in us that no human can do. They teach us a level of love that far exceeds our capacity for understanding. It’s pure, relentless, unconditional, and overflowing. Payton was my rock, my sidekick, my ride-or-die. Honestly, he was my angel.

This episode is a raw and real conversation that I had last week with my assistant, Brandi Flittner. We decided to add it to the podcast today to give you a 'behind the scenes' glimpse of what it takes to be aligned AF, even while navigating the grief process. It explains not only where I'm at in the grief process, but also shows how I'm showing up for myself and navigating this immense process.

Let this be a reminder that it’s okay to be exhausted. It’s okay to not feel 100%. It’s okay to lead from wherever you're at. It’s okay to give yourself space & grace. It’s okay for you to rest—while you're grieving, or just any other time in life.

Once again, we're heading into the holiday season, which can be hard. I know it has been hard for me in the past—I've had a lot of challenges to the holidays, with various things that go on. There's been a lot of times where the holidays just feel extra heavy, extra chaotic, extra intense. There's been a lot of dysfunction in my family and there's been a lot of need for boundaries over the years. 

One of the things I've learned over the years is how to create tools and strategies to navigate through the waters when all of the chaos and the intensity is hitting. So in this episode, I dig into my vault. 

I want to share with you a very powerful 3-part series that specifically addresses the aspects of high functioning codependency—those spaces where we feel we need to carry other people; we need to fix it; we need to take care of it. 

Oftentimes, we don't realize we're putting ourselves in a space to be enablers rather than people that are helping to hold others accountable. 

So in this episode (Part 1), we're going to talk a little bit about codependency and the difference between caring for someone caring from an empathetic, compassionate, loving space and caring, which is that space where we tend to take responsibility for things that aren't ours. 

When we step into those codependent cycles, we often need to learn how to create clear, deeper boundaries to make sure that our own sanity and peace is okay. My biggest concern is to grant you the gift of peace as you navigate through the holiday season. 

Over the next couple of weeks, I'll be sharing with you the tools and resources to add to your own toolkit for your arsenal. Whether you're navigating for friends, family, extended family, work, etc, you'll have that space of inner peace so you can stay aligned as fuck, and not drop into old patterns and behaviors that may not serve you.
