In a bonus conversation, I was able to sit down with Joy Lere to talk about how many financial struggles are rooted at problems and trauma within.
By getting to know your authentic Self and understanding what brings you the greatest happiness and joy, you will find your Self in a better situation to manage your money in alignment with your values and ultimately, your authentic life.

The Next Episode is joining LifeDesign+ from the All About Your Benjamins podcast. In this episode, Terry kicks off the conversation with a quote he found that speaks to two lives we live: the first we learn by and the second we live by.
From there the conversation just flows.
In this week's solo episode I share how I realized how my days of doing "all of the things" was really me battling a subconscious feeling of discontentment.
I didn't know it at the time, but my desire to try new things was my effort to find my "purpose" and learn new skills along the way.
Discontentment doesn't necessarily mean you are unhappy--it's more about a calling to step into something more.
There are few people I know who understand how to persevere more than my close friend Tyrone Ross Jr. I asked him to join me to share what he has learned about perseverance, how he navigated the tough times, and share how you can build up your ability to persevere.

Lindsey Bell is the founder of 248 Ventures and the author behind The Shift newsletter, where she focuses on trends in employment with a focus on how individuals are changing how they view their work and their lives.
I asked her to join me to discuss her jump from the corporate world to betting on herself and also to share what she is seeing in the employment space in regards to how people are viewing their jobs and their lives.
In the very first "book report" episode of LifeDesign+ I review Paulo Coelho's The Alchemist. This is the perfect book to kick off the monthly episode where I will cover a book each month that aligns with aligning spirit, mind, body, and money.
I have to shoutout David Senra for the inspiration; David is the host of the Founders podcast where highlights the lives of entrepreurs, founders, and CEOs by reviewing biographies--it's a great podcast you should check out.
I often talk about the importance of aligning your spirit, mind, body, and money, and for some reason, the topics I write and talk about rarely include money. In the first solo episode of LifeDesign+, I share why I focus most of energy discussing and helping people align their spirit, mind, and body.
In the first "subject matter expert" episode, I am joined by Matthew Zeigler who I have had the pleasure to get to know over the last year. Our hour-long-plus conversation always center around creativity, hip-hop and the beautfy of the artform, and ideas we have for the future.
Although Matthew is curently in the field of finance like me, he has an intersting background as a Creator and is one of the most researched individuals I know when it comes to creativity.
Just take a look at the bio he provided:
"Matt Zeigler is a writer and all-round creative by day, and a financial advisor by… also day. He sleeps at night. Usually pretty well too.
Matt thinks the claim money is the root of all evil might be overstated. He also believes creativity is the root of all good. Somewhere between creativity and making money sounds like a good place to be.
At Cultish Creative, he posts one complete thought a day, intended to help you (re: him) stoke curiosity and quality conversations in real life. He'd love if you signed up for his mailing list and "let the posts come to you." He loves it even more when you respond to his emails with a thought of your own. If you don't want another daily email, you can still check out cultish creative dot com and send him messages through matt@cultishcreative dot com, at cultish creative on x/twitter, or at Matt Zeigler on LinkedIn.
Oh, and if you like content suggestions from books, to podcasts, and music – LOTS of music, he is all over the place with inspiration. If you're looking for ways to foster your curiosity, check out cultish creative, and look at "new? Start here" on the top of the website.
At Sunpointe Investments, Matt is a Managing Director and Partner, working directly with clients to match up their own creativity with their financial ambitions. Business owners, founders, and family offices, you'll want to check out Sunpointe Investments dot com, especially if any of Matt's communication style resonates with you. He is not your average financial advisor, and Sunpointe has a very distinct planning and investment offering.
Ps. As matt's mom taught him and his brothers to say, "Remember, when you spell Zeigler, it's I before E except after Z"
Pss. As Matt's marketing team taught him and his colleagues to say, 'There's an e at the end of Sunpointe, don't forget it when you're looking for us'."
In the first episode of the new year, I am joined by Chef Lauren Owens for her third appearance on a podcast with me. Each episode has been about her Pursuit of her business, The Tiny Onion.
Lauren provides an update on her journey and we spend most of the conversation discussing the "messy middle" of her journey to this point.
In this episode, I share why the podcast was rebranded from On Our PRST to LifeDesign+, what to expect from the show in 2024, and also spend some time revisiting the Keep Pursuing Series and what I learned from it.
It's been hard to remain disciplined and avoid recording new episodes until I took the time to be thoughtful about the show's return. I'm excited to be back behind the mic, I'm excited for the shows to come, and I'm excited about the impact LifeDesign+ is going to have.
Don't forget to subscribe to the podcast, and if you're enjoying the episodes, leave a review or comment--it would be very much appreciated.
