We're going back to the All About Your Benjamins archives for today's longer Monday Motivation.
I've been enjoying Rob Petrozzo's podcast "Best Money I've Ever Spent" and have been a long time Rally Rd. customer and fan. As I was listening to yesterday's episode of BMIES I decided I wanted to share Rob's story today.
I'm looking forward to having him back on and talking to him more about passion as he's talking to his guests that are all following their passions--he has a unique perspective on how to successfully make your passion a career.
A more in depth to the importance of Passion in PRST and how it plays into your Pursuit for a more meaningful, fulfilled, and happier life.
Passion will guide people in different ways--there are no absolutes. Some will find their passion comes to them in what they are already doing--it will develop. Others already know their passion and it is not in their current life--they need to follow it.
At the end of the day, passion will be your guide on your Pursuit and it will guide you differently than others and that's ok!
With Kendrick Lamar's album dropping tomorrow, it was only appropriate we revisit his quote, "There's beauty in completion. And always faith in the unknown."
Fear is a powerful thing, according to Jimmy Iovine. For many, fear keeps them from Pursuing the life they truly want and if they could only realize that fear is a projection of the mind and there is no reason to fear anything they would realize that life is closer than it appears.
The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle makes an appearance in today's episode to breakdown the mind's projection that creates the fear that paralyzing so many.
Wally Green said the same thing in a more coloful way, "Bees don't waste their time explaining to flies why honey is better than shit."
Dan Runcie took his career writing about business to the next level by launching Trapital, a newsletter about the business of Hip-Hip.
What started as a newsletter on the side has turned into a successfull newsletter and podcast allowing Dan to continue to write about business--the business of Hip-Hop.
But go do it and keep Pursuing.
Just because you are good at something does not mean you are passionate about it. When given the opportunity to choose skilled or passionate, give your passion the first shot.
Obviously, skilled and passionate is the ideal situation and some will find that. Others won't and will need to find a balance. But avoid doing something just because you're good at it when there is something else calling you.
You'll receive little signs while you are on your Pursuit providing confirmation that you are exaclty where you are. There are no coincedences, only messages to be received through large and small signs.
I heard this quote on the Dissect podcast for Mac Miller's song 2009,
"Universal intrinsic attraction to authenticity. And how true unfiltered honest expression of self forms the strongest bonds amongst humans."
I wanted to share it with you.
