Jen has spent 35 years in branding with a background as a brand coach, graphic designer, illustrator, and content creator. She now helps a fabulous midlife females that build strong brands as a brand foundation coach. Jen is on a mission to empower midlife women to peel back the layers, rediscover who they truly are and become the person that they were always meant to be.

All through the magic of personal branding, embodiment, and self transformation. At the age of 52, Jen was made redundant from her comfort zone of a corporate branding job. As impact-driven entrepreneurs, it's crucial to remember that we are human beings first and business owners second. We all face human challenges, experience emotional highs and lows, and navigate the waves of grief and stress. We may even encounter anxiety along the way. These states aren't separate from our businesses, even if we view our businesses as separate entities.

The challenge is to find a way to show up for our businesses while we navigate these normal human challenges. It's easy to overlook our emotional, physical, and spiritual needs as we get wrapped up in our business roles. However, ignoring our human needs can harm us on a personal level and create blockages in our businesses.

The key is to work with our energy, not against it. Think about time management versus energy management. Time management focuses on organising our day into blocks of work, rest, and play. In contrast, energy management takes a more cyclical and fluctuating approach. When our energy is high, we're more productive and produce higher-quality results. But when our energy is low, even simple tasks feel like climbing a mountain.

By operating from consciousness and alignment, nurturing our nervous systems, and embracing our human experiences, we can create a sustainable, impact-driven business. It's about achieving your desired impact while taking the time you need to deal with life's challenges, all without fearing that your business will collapse in your absence.
