The coronavirus pandemic has created health and wellness problems beyond just the virus. Some people have not fared well with the social challenges the pandemic brought. Maladaptive coping mechanism like overeating and indulging in unhealthy foods have been a struggle for many. Those with addictive behaviors and substance abuse problems have been tested as well as the very antidote to addiction is connection.
Under these emotionally challenging circumstances we believe it very important to have the mindset of focusing on what we have and what we can do under the circumstances and learn to be content and grateful with what is.

Unconditional love is a term that has gained a diverse social meaning. At its foundation through it is a bond between the mother and the child at birth. Not all people end up receiving unconditional love which can lead to unforeseen problems not only when the child becomes an adult but also if and when that person also has a child of their own and so on, which compounds over time. Another interesting topic that will be discussed in this episode is misplaced unconditional love. What many believe is unconditional love is actually considered conditional and we need to understand the important differences between the two.

In this episode Dr. Baylac will share her experience in treating the condition from a therapist's perspective. There is a way to treat this condition that requires patience and the right combination of therapies and support. Eating disorders can be lethal. The challenge of anorexia in particular is that it is prevalent in children as young as 12 years old.
