AlAndalus was the Islamic civilization that amazed the world for over 700 years. After the death of Prophet Muhammed, Muslims rapidly spread across the world and quickly captured Spain, bringing with them justice, knowledge, and prosperity that was never seen in Europe or even in the world before. This civilization was eventually wiped out in 1942 after over 700 years of Islamic rule.
Muslims look at AlAndalus as a source of pride and as a golden age where Muslims, along with their Christian and Jewish counterparts, prospered. Muslims have a lot to learn from that history: both its successes and failures.
