I stand corrected: the video has over 186 million views in 4 months, I originally said 35 million in the pod.
Basically, people are split over how to feel about the song 'WAP', by Cardi B and Meghan The Stallion. Some feel it's women empowerment while others feel it's just downright raunchy!
I'd classify it as both; both sides are correct however it is art, and it now exists in our world to dissect a million times and put it back together. But what are we dissecting? The song is about sex which is an ancient practice; everyone knows about sex, how to have it, what we like, what we don't like, what we'd like to try, how we like to try it.
Sex isn't primm and prissy; it's experimentation, curiosity, self-love, balance. Sex can be fun, dirty, naughty, filthy, flirty, playful - it can be whatever you want it to be and we've come a long way in our society for women to express in plain words how we like to receive it. Normally, men dominated this market- hence, Snoop Dog and his "Doggy Style" album and the rapper had a few thangs to say to the ladies about their precious jewels.
The ladies used art to express their sexuality, and they did it very, very well. And to all my 80's babies y'all know damn well we use to bust a move to "There Some Hoes In This House", at the club and house parties! Not that we felt we were hoes - but they got us wit the damn beat lmao!
